Sylvester Eye Care & Aesthetics

My appointment was at 1:00 it was 1:37 and I was still waiting on lobby I went to the front and asked them if I was going to be seen soon. They stated it would be another hour I said ok and went back to my seat. After about 10 minutes a lady comes to get me and I go to the back where she runs some test and adds some drops to my eyes. I've been waiting for the doc ever since and that was at 1:47 it is now 2:27 and the Socorro has still yet to come in. I can hear her outside my door chatting with the nurse talking laughing and she called the pharmacy about a refill on someone's prescription while I sit here waiting. Patients birthday is 10/22/2000 is his name is M**** Mendez is his name. Pretty sure that's a hippa violation Geez I wish they'd hurry up. 2:41 still no doc. It's 2:57 now and this doc still hasn't been in. I'm putting on my coat and leaving.

Dr. Mayes has been my ophthalmologist since moving to Oklahoma and has been fantastic. She caught issues causing headaches my previous eye doctor didn't and is meticulous in taking care of her patients. Her staff is great and very helpful. Highly recommend

Front desk staff is unprepared. The lady who called to make my appointment was very nice. I kept asking about my insurance because I was unsure if I had vision or used my medical. She ensured me someone would look into it for me. I did not hear back so I called again to verify everything was ok with my insurance and they said someone would look into and call me back if there were issues. No one called back. I arrived at my appointment and advised them I didn't have my insurance card because my employee doesn't provide new cards, I usually stay at my employer and we don't need them ever. Front desk lady said I needed my card before checking in. I advised her I could provide my member id, group number and claim address and she asked the drs permission and they would need the card. I attempted logging into my insurance portal to get this for her and she started being rude and saying I remember talking to you and making excuses when I stated no one asked me to bring my card. No texts reminding me or anyone telling me. They wouldn't be patient to let me find it or give me paperwork to fill out. The text reminder never said come early for paperwork either. From someone who works with insurance this process is not efficient and the front desk lady needs customer service training. I decided this is a clinic I do not want to be seen at and will be looking for somewhere else to be seen. I huge waste of everyone's time.

Dr. Sylvester is an amazing doctor I am just sick that I feel out of network with my Oscar plan He literally was concerened about my eyes and put me on a medication to keep my pressures down in my eyes fortunlatey my husband gets to see him and I will be back as soon as I can
