Pediatric and Family Eyecare

I went with my mom to her appointment -- she has been seen here multiple times for contact lenses -- and unfortunately the interaction with the doctor was uncomfortable. Before asking a question, I even made it clear I didn't want to overstep. I previously worked as a contact lens technician for 8 years, so I made a simple suggestion that something in the lens material or something else might be causing her itching and discomfort. Instead of explaining his reasoning or having a normal conversation, the doctor questioned me in a very condescending way and spoke to me as if I were his employee rather than a patient's family member trying to help. He asked what I thought should be done and when I suggested possibly trying a different brand, the appointment was quickly wrapped up and we were rushed out. Never directing a word to Me after. The overall tone felt dismissive and unprofessional. I've also seen other reviews on here that staff are not treated very respectfully, which unfortunately matched the attitude we experienced.

My daughter was seen by Dr. Sadeghi. After telling him that she had undergone eye therapy in Tulsa for excess convergence, and that the visit with him was an annual routine checkup, he blew off my comment and said he didn't really believe she ever had it. I told him about her eye history, how she wasn't able to read and see properly before therapy. I shared that therapy saved her eyes and made her an excellent reader. To dispute my daughter's health history like he did was inappropriate and unprofessional. This place also uses the eye drop chemicals to dilute pupils. Quite old fashioned considering other eye doctors use other digital programs like OptosAdvance which provide an instant read and cover so much more of the eye.

Our entire family sees Dr. Diver and he is great with all ages. Very patient with kids and adults, and he always takes time to answer questions and educate us on our eyes and vision health. I have worn glasses or contacts for 30 years, and I have 3 kids who have vision issues as well, and we have never had a doctor explain the things he has taken time to make sure we understand. Additionally, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the staff on the eyewear side is as well. There is a charge for an appointment for first time contact-wearers to learn how to wear and care for their contacts, but it comes with two months worth of lenses, and is WELL worth the fee. The lady was very patient and helpful with my daughter as she got comfortable putting her contacts in, and she made sure she understood completely.

All the workers are so nice and kind really help with getting my appointments done plus they are quick!

I scheduled a routine eye care appointment and I am on a fixed income. I asked them if there would be a charge and if so then I can't be seen. They said there would be no charge. I told them I had dry eyes and she said she could look at that. I asked if there would be charge she said no. They changed it to a medical visit which requires a co-pay. I told them it will make my rent check bounce. I stupidly put my card in and paid. I know how these reviews work. For the unkind staff that thought this was funny do not bother sending an email. To anyone considering them for eye care they are liars. Do not get your eyes checked there.

My son and I received prescriptions from here but have never had a pleasant experience. The person at the front desk was extremely rude when dealing with insurance. They prescribed bifocals to my 6 year old which he tried but couldn't get used to so he stopped wearing them. When we tried to get the first prescription for him they wouldn't even look it up for us. I recommend driving to Tulsa for competent staff and a more cordial experience.

We scheduled an appointment here because we were referred by our kids pediatrician! Dr. Sadeghi was great with my son (who is 2, a toddler) and did what he needed to get the exam done in a thorough and quick manner. My son was not having it, he had his eyes dilated and we also had to wait for the dilation which my toddler hated. The appointment went ok, my son cried and did not like anyone touching him but we made it through the exam. Everything was going well until we were checking out. I just wanted to comment that staff need to be more understanding and compassionate towards children. Especially when the child is visibly upset. This is a pediatric eye clinic so parents would assume that all staff would know how to treat children. I did not feel like I was in a child friendly environment. The negative encounter we had today was small but it made a huge impact on our experience here. Idk if we will be back.

Dr. Diver is very thorough and explained a condition I had with my eye that a specialist couldn't even solve. He was great with my children as well. The negative reviews seem to be from impatient entitled people.
