I had a great experience at Cockrell Eyecare today. Everybody was so kind and welcoming. Hanna the receptionist got me scheduled like a pro. Anna the tech was super patient with me even though I kept blinking when I wasn't supposed to (whoops!). Dr. Lauren was incredibly thorough and made sure to make space for all my questions. Becky at the check out desk was on point with making sure I understood all of the insurance things I needed to know. She wrapped up my appointment seamlessly. :)

Top notch care every single time I visit. My husband and I are both patients of Dr Carson Gee, and he is absolutely wonderful! He actually educates you about your eyes and issues!! The staff is professional, but caring and friendly. We can't recommend them enough.

My eye started acting up at 3pm on a Friday. Put it off for 30 minutes before giving up and calling CEC, as my normal optometrist was closed. They worked me in immediately, everyone was super kind, even as I was a red-eyed mess. I saw Dr. Carson and he was amazing! He was super honest that what I had was usually a by-product of the kind of contact I had and was very transparent about what keeping these contacts going forward would probably mean for me.
I mentioned having issues with wearing glasses due to my cochlear implants. He was extremely empathetic and curious/excited to learn more (it seems like many doctors have been burnt out of their curiosity) and gave some great suggestions for future glasses, even though it was a medical appointment. I pretty much immediately decided I would be sticking with them going forward.
The staff and Dr. Carson were just as kind on my recheck and annual appointments, including trying to make my existing glasses more comfortable for the time being.
They also take emergencies over the weekend, which is so so nice for an ophthalmology office!

Awesome experience at cockrell eyecare. Hedlea was awesome and helped me with all my questions and paper work, Montana the technician was awesome and explained a-lot of detail to me. Cole the optometrist was very knowledgable and seemed to care About his patients, answered alot of questions and gave great recommendations. The workers seed to care about the customers and the place was clean. Recommend this eyecare to any any one!

Awesome staff, and the Doctors are the best. Friendly, courteous and welcoming.
The only hack I have is the eye glasses are two expensive and takes 10-14 day before you can get or new glasses.
I have bought eye glasses at other places, at half or even two thirds the price you pay at Cockrell eye center.

Dr. Laura and her team were professional and efficient. My appointment was a little over an hour but efficient with the time. Dr. Laura described procedures and results thoughtfully and made sure all my questions were answered. Cockrell is one of the only places in town where children can receive free eye exams AND had a 24-hour eye doctor on call. I highly recommend Cockrell Eyecare.
