Stillwater Ophthalmology and Retina

The exam itself was fine and appeared to be thorough. The problem was the billing. Check any bill you get from them thoroughly--it appears their billing needs work. We received a bill from them that showed they had applied to our primary but not to the secondary insurer. When we asked about it, they printed off a second sheet that had one vague entry referring to submitting to secondary--no date or claim number. The clerk told us the secondary wouldn't pay anyway because it was 'the yearly deductible'. I called the secondary. They had processed the claim and 'deposited the amount directly into the provider's account' on April 7. It was for the full amount the provider billed us on April 8th. When I called the clerk and informed her of what I had learned, her answer was 'OK'. and a very long pause, which I had to break. Was she going to correct it? What happens now? Will I get a corrected statement or will the bill I don't owe go to a collection agency for more hassle? Didn't really get an answer. Are they just not too efficient at billing yet since it's a new practice? Will it continue? Sure hope not. I like Dr Flood but really don't like paying him twice--even thru my insurance.

Dr. Flood was very friendly and his mild manner helped reassure me that he knew what he was talking about. He explained what was happening with my eyes and how he could help me improve my vision. He confirmed what my optometrist who referred me to him had told me. I feel very reassured my surgical procedure upcoming will be a positive experience. The staff is friendly and efficient.

Every staff member in the office was very pleasant,& very friendly & they do care about every person that enters their office.i appreciate the kindness I was shown .Nurse Amy was very professional & helpful.she new I was nervous & calmed my nerves .Dr Flood is very friendly and caring. He explained everything that was going to occur, before doing & after my procedure & assured me that they will take great care of me.he is very thorough with his exams These are AMAZING, & WONDERFUL people & I will definitely recommend his practice to all that may need his services..THANKS TO ALL OF YOU.

Dr. Flood and his staff are great. He is thorough and take his time explaining things. I especially like that he is very knowledgeable in diabetic retinopathy, as I have Type 2 Diabetes. He performed successful cataract surgery on my eyes and I had no problems. I definitely recommend Dr. Matthew Flood.

Dr. Flood made space for me in his schedule for a special issue. He and staff explained every step in detail. They were all friendly and respectful and did their best to ease my concerns. Definitely recommend!

My brother was referred from Ponca Alliance ER, he was very anxious and worried, upon our arrival, place was packed up and my husband said, well if it's really that crowded, it just tell you how his reputation is. Walked in, and seeing the ladies upfront faces lit up, really calm us down , they have great customer service, and the nurse was very thoroughly with her questions and Dr.Flood really knows his job well, and very thorough with diagnosis. Dr Flood and his staffs get our A+ service, highly recommend for anybody in need of professional and excellent service

Dr. Flood and his staff are unfailingly helpful, pleasant and sympathetic to the needs of this 97 year old patient. The same is true in his work with my 94 year old wife. As to his skills and knowledge, they are without question. I recommend him without reservation to anyone with eyes.

Dr. Flood is a wonderful doctor. He is so caring and I appreciate his calming demeanor. He also has the best staff! I can't recommend him enough!
