My experience here is unrivaled. Mrs. Andrea Kwiecien's ability to listen and willingness to hear makes her optometry skills shine. I felt at ease in communicating my visual experience that allowed for me to communicate more fully how my eyes were reacting to the various lenses. She communicated professionally and yet was not impersonal. I found this bio online and the description of her is excellent. I was grateful to have had her professional attention and skill set. "A native southern Californian, Dr. Andrea Kwiecien has a genuine love of people and eye care. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Magna Cum Laude, from Arizona State University and her Doctorate of Optometry, with academic distinction, from Pacific University in 2011. Her path began with becoming inspired by her own first pair of glasses at age 13, impressed with the quality of life visual clarity provides. During her undergraduate studies, she had the privilege of working in residential treatment in a group home for individuals with dual diagnoses of developmental delay and mental illness, that shaped her values of listening and kindness. When her son was 2 years old, he required an eye surgery for strabismus (crossed eyes), followed by vision therapy, which provided the appreciation for visual function that fueled her leap to return to college and become an optometrist. Dr Kwiecien finds it important to get to know each of her patients as a whole person and stresses the need to talk about overall wellness. Practicing with her intellect as well as her heart, she believes that simply listening and being present with her patients is key to excellent patient care. Personally, Dr Kwiecien strives to live a balanced life, and maintaining relationships with her husband, son and friends is her source of joy."

Dr. Kwiecien has been my optometrist for years. She is attentive and takes the time to explain things. I look forward to seeing her for my regular eye checkups!
