The moment I walked through the door, the staff was very friendly and helpful in answering all of my questions. Crystal made sure I was picking out a great pair of eye glasses that looked stylish, framed my face well, and fit best for my daily activities. She also made sure I had a complete understanding in my insurance coverage and how to make the insurance benefits best benefit me.
Furthermore, Steve Jung, O.D.. was very informative. I went in his office thinking I was going to get glasses, contact lenses, and maybe a recommendation for future Lasik surgery. I walked out of Eugene Eyewear with ordering a pair of glasses and an explanation as to why in my particular situation contact lenses would most likely do more harm than good, and why eye surgery wouldn't be my best avenue of choice to simply forgo the convenience of not having to wear eye glasses.
Let's just say between he and the staff; they saved me lots of time, money, and the future possibility of me doing more harm to my eyes.

Where do I begin. First the fact I was able to make an appointment so quickly . Then a chance to look around. Then the kindness that everyone shared. It had been a long time since I last had my eyes checked. When you guys did not take my insurance, you were quick to explain the cost and how I could apply for help for the next time.

I have gone to Eugene Eyewear for years. Dr. Jung is amazing. Thorough, professionally friendly and knowledgeable. He discusses what he finds as he goes along. Great teacher...I now know about my specific eye health issues and what to expect in the future. Staff is friendly, efficient and helpful, especially when helping me decide which frames to buy!
Highly recommend Eugene Eyewear.
(I would suggest they change their name because they do much more than sell a wide variety of great up-to-date "Eyewear".)

Extremely disappointed as we had verified in advance prior to making the appointment that it would only be a $10 co-pay since Eugene Eyewear is considered a preferred in network provider with VSP. Sadly when my daughter went to her appointment this morning they ended up charging her $100 not the $10 it was supposed to be. They said the extra charges were due to getting fitted for contacts even though she has been wearing contacts for years and always gets the same brand and for a retinol screening which in years past with other providers has always been included in our co-pay. This business is not forthcoming with their prices or bothering to explain that if you opt for different things they are asking you that you will be charged extra. They are totally price gouging customers and feel like they took advantage of a young adult not knowing that she was going to have to pay more than $10 eye exam. We will definitely not return nor recommend as when I called to vent my frustration with them not being transparent about additional charges and asked them to explain or make it right they offered no solutions.
