Bruce F. Breckenridge, OD

Dr Breckenridge has been my doctor since the 70's, when I lost my parents medical insurance. He is the very best, and it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. Dedicated to his professsion and professionalism. Very thorough, respectful, and kind. I trust him 110%. Since moving from the Portland area, but still drive the distance to see him, and the secretaries. Everyone is very nice.

Dr. Breckenridge has been my eye doctor for nearly thirty years. A decade ago I moved to West Linn but despite the further distance I still see him because he is so professional and personable. We usually swap a story or two - I always feel like I'm his only patient in the moment, he never rushes through anything. He and his staff always spend time to go through my insurance benefits and let me know the best way to maximize them, whether it's buying some new frames and holding off on contacts till later, or whatever works best. I can't say enough nice things about him and his office. Thanks Dr. Breckenridge!

Dr. Breckenridge is wonderful. Very friendly and honest. My first visit was for a bit of an emergency because I broke my glasses in half. For my new glasses, he helped me figure out what glasses looked great on me and got me a great deal. Then he took my old prescription and put the lenses in an out-dated frame, so that I could have them till my order arrived. Then when I lost my glasses, I told them I want the exact glasses I ordered before, and they pulled my order info to get me what I want. Bruce and his staff are amazing.

I've been taking my mom to see Dr. Breckenridge for YEARS. His staff is always friendly and helpful. Dr. Breckenridge is very caring and his office offers a wide variety of frames that can accommodate any price point. We would absolutely recommend him to everyone! Not safe for immune compromised When I made my appointment I requested that staff wear N95 masks to protect me as I am immune compromised. Jean the office manager assured me that was no problem but when I arrived no one was wearing them. When I inquired it turned out they didn't have any. Meanwhile one of the staff at the front desk was coughing and obviously ill. I provided them masks but one of the staff complained that masks hurt her ears. Which I can understand but surely a few moments of discomfort is not relevant when the alternative is endangering someone's life? The staff at the front desk did , with my insistence, wear the masks I provided. So I guess I should be grateful for that. However when Jean came out to speak to me she was not masked. When I asked her about it she stood there nodding and smiling at me but still didn't put one on. I was really surprised because based on our earlier phone conversation she made it sound like protecting patients health with an N95 was no problem but that was not the case at all. I don't understand why Jean lied to me on the phone. Did she think I wouldn't notice that no one was wearing a N95? Very strange and left me feeling like her word was not worth much. Disabled immune compromised people deserve to be safe in healthcare settings and we should not be lied to when we request basic measures to protect us.

My wife and I have been using Bruck Breckenridge for many many years. Bruce has absolutely the best bedside manner of any specialist we have ever used. It's always a pleasure seeing him. We like the fact that he has a wide range of choices when it comes to frames and lenses. Years ago, when we had a very tight budget, he was able to provide us with economical glasses which we very much appreciated. We drive over 10 miles to do business with Bruce!

I have been Dr. Breckenridge's patient for decades. Seriously. I was 16 for my first examination and am now in my 50s. I had exceedingly bad vision. Coke bottle glasses. He did his best to let me see the world and always found ways to save me money. When lasik eye surgery became available, he made me wait until he found a surgeon that met his standards. When he had seen several people from the same surgeon with good results and no scar tissue, he recommended me for the surgery. The pre-surgery examinations were extensive: he truly made sure that the permanent change they were making to my eyes were correct. The follow up visits were also extensive, and included hugs and high fives. Ended up with 20/20 vision. He warned me that I would need reading glasses when I turned 45 or so. He was spot on. My arms are way too short.

Had the best experience today! Dr. Breckenridge is super friendly and really aimed to make sure I get what I need, he sent me home with a few samples to try out to compare what would be best for me. Super affordable as well! All around amazing
