Cathedral Eye Care

I've only been here for specialty appointments (I don't wear glasses) but I've had great experiences! I'm a very fearful patient and I've always been met with compassion. I never feel under-served here and there's always an appropriate plan in place when necessary. Definitely recommend!

Dr. Sarah Curtiss is the best. I think I might be the worst person at taking eye exams because I overthink them, and it took four visits for us to figure out what my first contact prescription would be, but I was only charged the contact exam and fitting fee the first time. Plus I got to try a few different sample boxes first so I never felt ripped off like I have at other places. Dr. Curtiss really seems to care about getting it right and making you happy, and she's a very sweet person. We need more doctors like her, who treat you like a human and not a number to get through. The rest of the staff is nice too, I think it might be all women (at least that I've seen) which is pretty rad. I didn't try on or buy glasses here so I can't speak to that part, but they do seem to have a nice selection and I like the warm wood ambiance instead of the stark white clinic feeling you get at some other places. Only advice I'd give is to not arrive too early and don't bring a friend. There's only two small chairs to wait in by the door and it doesn't really feel set up to be a waiting area. But that's a small thing. Two other pros for me: they accept Care Credit, and they follow up with text messages that you can actually respond to. Like many of my generation I can't always get myself to call them, but they were easy to talk to via text as a follow-up.

Update; the office manager reached out to me and explained that they have several new staff members and had a recent increase in patient load. I was assured that the issues I experienced will be corrected. Sadly like most businesses, this place has declined. I've been coming here more than 5 years and survived the pandemic. Service has always been outstanding and felt personalized. Two weeks ago I was treated as a burden and upsold like I was at a corporate restaurant. I always buy high end frames with all the options so I'm not sure why the extra push. Front desk seems put-off everytime I walk in the door. I'll be looking elsewhere next time.

Best eye-doctor visit ever :-) The support staff were delightful, but I was extremely impressed my Dr Trong (I might not be spelling that correctly) who was funny, kind and helpful. My nerves went away and I left in a very good mood! So much so I felt compelled to review!

Came in last month for an annual eye exam and glasses. Had great service and experience all around! Dr Peterson and my Optician Metah were both super personable, thorough, and answered any questions I had. (I'm at the point where I'm starting to need progressives , and they were both very patient with any questions and apprehension I had!) They are a small business, women owned, and LGBTQ+ friendly!! They had lots of cute frames to choose from. Highly recommend!

I used to take Mrs Randol for her glasses there. Nice staff, lovely place & a variety of glasses.

Everyone at Cathedral Eye Care was very professional and knowledgeable. The office space is great and they have a nice selection of frames in their waiting area. It was easy to schedule an appointment online and fill out all the paperwork ahead of time. My doctor took the time to explains everything well and asked a lot of good questions. Everyone from the front desk to their insurance/billing staff member was polite and helpful. Will be coming back for a contact fitting in a few weeks.

Needing a new eye doctor having just moved into the area these folks are within walking distance from me. They're in a convenient location and the entire staff is kind, patient, and friendly. Both doctors I've seen have been fantastic also. I've had to go in for two emergency situations and was able to be seen straight away which has been amazing for my anxiety. I appreciate the more modern options for eye testing as well, particularly having an option to not have my eyes dilated since I'm super sensitive to the dilation drops. Plus, no one likes the eye puff machine and they don't employ that here either so major win. :) They have a ton of eyeglass options, tho on the pricier side for me personally (my prescription is more expensive as is so I tend to have to limit myself) they're all very nice with so many fun frames. Additionally, they also work with a variety of insurance plans and have been quite wonderful working through things with me. All around a great experience.
