Clean and chic optometry clinic. Dr. Trinh is top notch; very thorough, caring, and professional. Staff is courteous and efficient, making my wife's and my experience seamless. They reviewed our insurance coverage in detail so as to maximize our benefits. Eye Q offers a wide selection of stylish frames, and even offered that I wait on my purchase as they were expecting new styles to choose from in the coming weeks. Our visits never felt rushed. I was a patient here a few years ago but had to switch providers due to an insurance change. I recently returned and was happy to find that Eye-Q is now under new ownership and management - and they are just as good, if not better, than before. The customer service was excellent from start to finish. The optometrist was incredibly calming, attentive, and exceptionally thorough. I never felt rushed or uncertain at any point during the exam, which is rare and very appreciated. They also have a fantastic selection of frames, including local Portland brands, all at very reasonable prices. On top of that, the team went above and beyond with my insurance - calling on my behalf and making sure I was getting the maximum benefit available. Truly a great team and a great experience. Highly recommend.

I have gotten three pairs of eyeglasses through eye Q and two pairs of sunglasses through the last few years. They have a great selection and are quick and responsive! I don't ever feel pressured or upsold by the staff like I have in the past by other optometry shops. The eye doctors who have given me exams are very friendly and attentive. I got a new set of frames/lenses here, using a new prescription from a different optometrist. I was having trouble adjusting to them, in particular getting headaches -- it was my first new prescription in something like 17 years, and was decently stronger. So after three weeks, I went back and explained my issue, and they did a new corrective lens test for me right then (well, after their current patient left), settled on a slightly weaker prescription, and got new lenses ordered for me!

I've had terrible vision since early childhood, so I've had a lot of optometry appointments in my life. My experience at eye Q stands as exceptional, and I'm glad to have found them. My visit was quick, efficient, and I felt well cared for and informed about every step of the process. Thanks!

Stopped into the shop to pick out some sunglasses. Unfortunately, during our two visits to the store, the same associate has showed absolutely no interest or care in our interactions. Says he's too busy to look into something, hardly acknowledges your presence, etc. Both times, we were the only customers in the store. It's a bummer because the store environment is really premium and beautiful, but the service is really lacking.

Staff were very nice, *but* they led me unwittingly into a retinal imaging exam which costs extra out of my pocket, and I am convinced was entirely unnecessary. As context, I am a nurse. I am young, and have no risk factors for the problems that a retinal imaging exam looks for. I had just explained to staff that I had just had a retinal imaging exam one year prior, so I'm sure one isn't needed. Next they sat me down at the machine and completed the exam, I didn't even know what we were doing. Then I got a bill :)

I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Thuy, she was extremely thorough about explaining all the steps and making sure I was comfortable. The staff was able to help me find frames that fit my face well. The whole process from exam to pick up was easy and quick. I also love that they are family owned and operated.
