Eyestrong - Pediatric Eye Care

The staff here are all super friendly and have been very welcoming and attentive to my daughter's. They take the time to answer my questions and concerns and will explain things to me so I can better understand. The doctor also showed me what she sees in my daughter's eyes so I can better understand what she is talking about and it helped me to understand better as well. They have a nice play area for the kids which makes it easier when I'm there with both at the same time. The staff was very gentle, kind, and patient when my daughters were picking out glasses and very helpful and fun to engage with, making the whole ordeal fun for them.

Dr Armstrong is one of the best physicians in town and our kids are so lucky to have her care and guidance. We have seen her for many years and always grateful for her advice, patient education of eye care and practical approach to vision health. She is the key to ensuring our kids take good care of their eyes and in this age where they spend several hours a day on screens, it is all the more important they practice good hygiene habits for eyes. Her team is also exceptional, always making sure our concerns are heard, skillful in making adjustments. Their new place near Whole Foods is another wonderful experience. Amazing selection of eye wear to fit the kids. Great options available. Bright, stylist, open yet cosy space for the children to feel relaxed when visiting. Plus convenient parking and location!

We love Eye Strong as a company as a whole. We have gone to the Eye Strong on MLK for a few years now, for my 4 children. They even are super patient with my youngest son whom is profoundly Autistic. Anyways, I found out they opened a building bfor pediatric clients a while back but I loved the MLK one so much, we never checked them out. We'll, a few weeks ago I figured why not, let see what they are like. Floored. Floored. Amazing. I had high standards, and they exceeded them. Soo sweet. So patient. We went as a spur of the minute decision, with 3 kids, no appointments. All 3 needing glass. All younger. All with various disabilities. And they handled it just fine. We got our glasses today and they gave each of the 3 their individual attention, told each kid how to care for their glasses, insured fit. 5 stars. 10 stars. A trillion stars. Sorry MLK Eye Strong, We will miss you, but I think we like them just a bit more. <3

Dr. Minnis is incredible. I had my 6 and 3 year old girls/gremlins with me and she kept everyone engaged and happy, all while the 3 year old very willingly had her exam done. She was very thorough, communicated so clearly, and so kind that we all were a little bummed when it was over

The eye doctor was kind and helpful, but the eye therapist was not a good fit. 3 different adults, on separate occasions, took our child to therapy sessions, and we all ended up agreeing that the therapist had severely lacked in empathy and on each occasion had been outright rude/ talked down to our child. The 3 of us have somewhat different parenting styles so for all of us to note this behavior was a big red flag and we immediately ended the therapy. Additionally, their billing is not reliable - the office staff were confused on how billing the insurance would work and required a lot of follow-up from my side to complete the initial setup. Once billing started, most of the invoices were incorrect and did not match the agreed upon price. I spent a lot of time tracking this, and while they did eventually fix it and re-issue invoices, it took way too much of my time. Would not recommend using this company - although the doctor was great, the rest of the staff did not meet expectations.

Great! Went in to pick up my glasses showed me right to the table they checked to make sure they fit and they ended up adjusting it a bit. Very nice people and willing to listen to you

My son had his first eye appointment today. He is three years old and I was a little nervous that he would feel scared, but everyone was so kind to him that he thought they were playing. The toys in the lobby were clean and super fun. Staff was very helpful and even spoke him to directly whenever possible. The exam was thorough and took about an hour, but somehow they held his attention and most importantly his trust the entire time. He wasn't even frightened when they used eyedrops to dilate his eyes! I am truly impressed! Thank you to everyone Forgiving him such a good experience.

We were a little nervous about how things would go with our 8 month old baby, but we had a wonderful experience! The staff was very nice, calm and patient. Doctor Minnis was wonderful and kept us informed during the entire appointment, so we knew what to expect ahead of her performing each exam. It was a fantastic first experience for our family.
