I have been going to Lovejoy Opticians for at least 20 years plus. I first went for a consult after another optical company's optician told me that I would never be able to wear progressive lenses. Doug and Kay disagreed with this opinion, and upon my next eligibility for frames and lenses, I began going to Lovejoy. I have so appreciated their expertise and their kindness and patience as well as their super problem-solving ability. My prescription is a challenge, and they have always worked with me to solve any issue with either or both lenses. They are a great family team with the addition of new staff member who is just as terrific. Go in and see for yourself; you won't be disappointed.

Went to several Portland Opticians looking for new eyeglasses and my wife wanted new contact lenses. We started looking for a Portland optometrist that was close to Good Samaritan hospital in Portland where my wife works that accepted our insurance. After looking at several Portland eyewear stores, we decided to get sunglasses this year on our insurance instead of prescription glasses. I wanted eyewear with nice frames. My wife wanted soft contacts that fit well. Initially I went to an Portland eyeglasses store across the street from the hospital entrance thinking they were affiliated with Good Sams, and I was looking for discounted glasses. The person I spoke with was a fast talker and everything was about buying now. I priced several pairs of sunglasses and prescription eyeglasses with nice frames, then my wife suggested we check out Lovejoy Opticians. It was harder to find than the other store, but the exact same eyeglasses and frames I priced at Deavers were discounted anywhere from $100 to $150 less at Lovejoy Optical. Plus Cody was awesome. We never felt pressured or uneasy. It's a mom and pop store with no high pressure corporate eyeglass store scams. Both my wife and I give them two thumbs up! Big plus, they give extra discounts to Legacy Employees and their families. Great place to shop for eyeglasses in Portland, Oregon.

Incredible prices and service. I've been wearing the same pair of glasses for 8 years, which speaks to the quality. I live in Kentucky now, but I still won't go anywhere else for glasses.

Awesome people! Walked in with my eye glasses missing a screw and I didn't even buy it from them. They were very helpful and fixed my glasses free of charge!

Ok, so I just called this place to find out if they had any available appointments. Here is the answer, "No, sorry we don't." And they hung up. Needless to say, I won't be going there. Customer Service, wonder if it's a passed on family motto?
