My wife and I got our exams done yesterday and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end! A little background, my wife hates anything when it comes to her eyes being touched but had no issues at all during her visit at River City!
We both saw Dr. Bui and she was kind, caring, and informative. She explained everything with ease and made us feel heard. We then worked with Semear, our optician, and if you could make sunshine into a person, it would be Semear. He is incredibly kind and was attentive and helped us out with picking frames we both loved and breaking down our cost line by line. Top notch care from beginning to end, seriously!
I'm so happy we established care at River City and can't wait to come back every year for our exams (and more to look at more glasses. seriously, their frame selection is wonderful!)

These people are the best! I had to duct tape my glasses together after one of the tiny screws fell out of the socket.
These fine, lovely, kind, reverend, and blessed people fixed my glasses, the kind woman had to labor through my terrible duct tape mcguyver work, and she fixed my frames into band spanking new!
The broken hinge is now sturdier and far more pristine than the side that was working, and they did this all for free!
Bless these lovely people's hearts! Please give these kind people your business!

I have never had a better eye glasses experience that I had at River City Eye. It usually takes me a long time to decide on frames, but with attentive, professional, helpful and fun guidance from Semear, I got the right frames in no time and I am completely happy with them. They have an excellent selection to choose from and the staff is terrific. I recommend them wholeheartedly!

Dr Gwen was great! Very personable and clear with her instructions.
However, I was directed by the female counter person to do a headset eye exam and also saw the Doctor afterwards. My insurance covered the Doctor's examination, but not the headset evaluation which was $39 plus my $10 copay. It was not thoroughly explained to me why I needed the headset exam alongside the Doctors examination. I'm a student and cannot afford unnecessary costs right now.
My advice for future clients, skip the headset exam unless you want it.

The ENTIRE staff at this location is incredibly pleasant to work with. They helped me get glasses after 10+ years and gave me great tips on the best options for my high prescription. Left the appt with a smile on my face (impressive, really) and fully stocked on contacts and glasses. They're the best!

I have eye insurance through an HMO, so when I go to River City Eye care, I have to pay out of pocket. It is worth every penny. I have gotten 5 pairs of glasses, and 8 different providers have given my 8 different prescriptions at my HMO. None of the glasses or prescriptions were correct, and I have been unable to see for the last 4 years. I have invested thousands of dollars on readers, and after one visit with Dr. Breeden, I can see perfectly with the contacts she is having my try out. The providers here know their stuff and are spot on!!! It's worth every penny!!! I'm so excited that I can see as I tattoo and do art and knit. I can't wait to get off work and go home and art!!!
