Vision Essentials Optical Center | Kaiser Permanente Interstate Central Medical Office

Called Kaiser to make an appointment and let them know that my prescription exam from my previous provider was done only a few months ago so they encourage me to simply stop by and order some frames at their location and provide the Attending person with my current prescription. Well, I did just that and the person that I unfortunately had to interact with was incredibly rude and condescending, and even felt a need to tell me that he's an optician, and I clarified and asked him if he was an optician or a sales person because sometimes depending on where you go, the person who is attending, you isn't necessarily an optician. He got offended, even though I wasn't trying to be offensive. I was simply asking him a question about the index lenses and he wasn't able to explain it properly. I felt incredibly uncomfortable so much so that I did not want to order anything from him and felt the need to have to drive out of my way to another location. He made me feel bad for bringing in another providers prescription. He was very rude about it and said I don't know where you got that from or what index lenses you currently have and I was trying to tell him what I had with the glasses that I brought, and he was just very condescending. I don't know if he was upset because he had to be in the office the day after Christmas or if he simply is having a bad day trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but this is incredibly unprofessional for an optician to treat someone like that. He also commented on the fact that I don't have a Kaiser history for vision with them and I said yes that is accurate because I've never had Kaiser vision insurance before so it made me feel even worse that he was being so rude about it which is weird because Regardless of me being a new member to Kaiser vision we're having a history I should be treated the same

I was well taken care today. I was here with my wife for her check in with ophthalmologist and made an inquiry for myself as a walk in. The receptionist said she would ask for me. Before I knew someone called my name and was given care today. Great experience today! Great work on all team members. Thank you

My routine eye-check-up at Kaiser Optical Center was great. Both tech and doctor were so nice, skilled and efficient. Making appointment was easy and I had an appointment scheduled the next week. Perfect experience!

Came in for what turned out to be a quick check up, and it was easy peasy. It usually is ! One minor thing however. The doctor I saw today required that I wear a mask, however he did not. That's new lol !!

Malia at N Interstate optical is so kind and professional! She effectively handled my issue and accommodated my neurodiversity in a respectful, understanding way. She is truly an asset to Kaiser!

This review is way overdue. I came in about a year ago and hope I never have to go there again. first time, the guy who helped me I could tell hated to put down his smartphone and actually do his job and help me. second time I came in sat out in the waiting area forever with a bunch of others and the line was not moving. went in and asked someone who I think was the manager how long to wait? Funny he wasn't doing anything other than staring at his computer. I noticed the line got moving right after I went in and asked. when I said i was in a hurry, he said I could go to another clinic. Talk about LAZY!! when I came to pick up my second set of glasses, the guy who helped took two seconds to adjust my glasses. they still don't fit correctly. if you are looking for good customer service, this is not the place to go!!

Great service, great people, all around great experience. I love having Kaiser Permanente as my health care provider and being treated as a person when I go to get care.

I recently visited Vision Essentials to have my "newly" mailed to my home progressive lenses adjusted or professionally fit. The guy who helped me, leaned back in his chair up near the front (very few people there). I sat down. He asked what do you need? I stated, I just received these glasses in the mail. He replied. They look fine. He then said, wear them for a while and then come back if needed. I then went to Clackamas. Even at Kaiser, I have always had my new glasses fit following a new purchase. It was odd. The service was a completely a different experience. The woman who helped me, adjusted the nose pieces and made a couple of other minor adjustments. They feel much better. She checked the lenses and generally acted very professionally. A+ experience.
