I had a great experience at West Hills Vision Care. From the moment I walked in, all of the office staff were super friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the visit feel easy and stress-free. Dr. Phillips was especially patient and understanding, taking the time to explain everything and making sure I felt comfortable throughout my appointment. I truly felt listened to and cared for. I would definitely recommend West Hills Vision Care to anyone looking for excellent eye care and a great overall experience.
I was late to my appointment but they were flexible enough to see me for an emergency repair. Not only did they help me fix an issue with my glasses, they also addressed an issue from the manufacturer with my lens for a permanent replacement since I did not have a backup pair.
This group take care of their patients well. Any time I have a question or a need the staff are responsive and eager to provide help.
Dr. Phillips and staff are the nicest, most knowledgeable, incredibly thoughtful and truly caring professionals in the business! They were so helpful in explaining my exam results and walked me through all my options to correct my deteriorating eyesight! In one visit I went from blind as a bat to perfect vision! I can't say enough great things about Dr. Phillips! She is the BEST!
My family and I have been a loyal patients at West Hills Vision Care for many years, ever since I moved to Oregon during my sophomore year of high school. Writing this review is not something I take lightly, it has been a long time coming.
To start, I want to acknowledge that the doctor-to-patient care has always been excellent. The providers themselves are kind, knowledgeable, and thorough, and I have consistently felt well cared for during my appointments.
Unfortunately, my experience outside of the exam room has been very different. Over the years, I have found it increasingly difficult to receive support when issues come up, and it often feels like the level of care and communication does not match the high standard set by the doctors.
In addition, the pricing has increased significantly over time. While I was in college, I purchased my last two pairs of glasses, spending around $500 per pair.
Despite the cost, my most recent glasses were genuinely the worst quality glasses I have ever owned. For a long-term patient, especially a college student at the time, that was extremely disappointing and felt unfair.
Luckily, I was able to receive a warranty replacement for one pair. When I later experienced issues with my last pair, I was met with even more frustration. West Hills Vision Care ultimately was not able to provide a warranty replacement, and that was the point where I finally decided I could not continue as a patient.
After years of loyalty, I expected more support, better communication, and a stronger effort when a customer has been coming here long-term.
If you are experiencing similar concerns, I would strongly recommend exploring other options. There are many online alternatives that are significantly more affordable, and in my experience, offer better customer service and follow-through. In today's economy, feeling heard and supported as a customer matters, and unfortunately that has not been my experience here.
Dr. Phillips and her staff are fantastic. I can't say anything negative about them.
Dr. Phillips is very thorough, knowledgeable, and always seems to be ahead of the curve with eye care.
I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Thank you, West Hills Vision.
Katherine Phillips, OD is sharp and quick thinking. She considers things from a unique set of parameters, analyzing what is happening with a great deal of thought. She makes me realize how sharp and quick thinking I am not. In a way it's like standing in room with John Mclaughlin playing guitar 3 feet in front of you. You can see why its good and why you will very likely never do that.
I absolutely love the staff here. The front desk staff are so sweet, and Desiree (forgive me if incorrect spelling) is the absolute sweetest person. When I first got glasses she helped me pick out a frame that suited my face and preferences and took her time, and I never felt rushed. I love going here and they can even see me when I'm early to my appt. Highly recommend going here!
My experience with Dr. Phillips has always been very professional and informative. She is knowledgeable and thorough. I can highly recommend West Hills Vision Care.
