My dad, who has since passed away at 92, had glaucoma, legally blind, was referred to Kushnick. No doubt the worst Dr/Health Care provider EVER!! No bedside manner. Doesn't like anyone asking questions about condition, treatment, etc. I should have reported him to the medical boards. He "fired" my dad and his office refused to release his medical records. If I could have rated Zero stars I would have. STAY AWAY!!
Dr. KUSHNICK IS MY HERO !!!
After suffering 2 years of excruciating pain elsewhere, He found was was done wrong to myeye on my very first visit to him.
He did surgery on my eye to remove the wrongly placed device that was made of 55% nickle (I am totally allergic to nickle)it was scratching up the inside of my eye and leaking nickle into my blood stream causing blisters from the inside out.
He sent me to The Chief oof Glaucoma in Philly for a 2nd opinion.
The devices hold of never been placed in my eyes.First step for mild glaucoma, is glaucoma eye drops that were never used on me.Hydrus shunt/ stent is a last resort after all eyedrops fail !

Dr Kushnick was thorough with my eye exam. He was intentional on finding the root cause of the issue. He is kind, and extremely knowledgeable.
My mom is 93 years old. Her appointments have been constantly canceled with a promise of a phone call to reschedule. That call never arrives! It then takes 3-4 months to get a new appt after the cancellation is made on their end. This has happened multiple times. Unacceptable! A new glaucoma doctor was recently hired. I was told by their office to call and schedule with her since it would enable a quicker appointment. When I called to do so, I was told that the "transfer doctor" request was on "hold" since Dr Kushnick must approve it. I reminded them that this was my request.Three days later - no call to schedule an apptI We have never had issues as these in 35 years at this practice with multiple doctors until until now.
I take my friend to Dr. Kushnick for glaucoma. First appointment we waited for 4 hours. Today we waited one hour 45 minutes. We had left from pococos in which snow storm was coming but we would make it back before snow starts. When I told him about the wait and snow, I was told I should of checked the weather and if I was uncomfortable we should of rescheduled. When addressed about that she was worse, his comment was he was the only one in this area that could help her. She would end up blind and not be able to walk out of office. At the end of this visit he recommended we find someone else to help her and referred us to someplace in Philadelphia. We are not going to return to this office.
My uncle had been with Dr Kushnick for over five years. Each visit turned into disappointment and frustration. He was required to finish all the tests, however, Dr never explained anything, and each consulting time had been only two minutes; if you got three minutes, you will be lucky. For him old patient, just never understood or heard the whispering of what was said; but to pay OCLI hundred dollars bill afterwards. Just wish fairly treated when paying hundred dollar per minute consulting rate to OCLI. Do some research of options.
When I first met Dr. Kushnick, he was eager to rush me to surgery despite my eye pressure now being under control with eye drops for years now. A large down-payment was required before surgery, despite my A+ primary and secondary insurances. Notes are pasted all around the check in area about co-pays, penalties for non-payment, and the like. Once the staff couldn't find my file after an hour wait. And on more than one occasion, the staff ordered the wrong prescription. They continue to send me automated phone calls, even though I left the practice over a year ago. I would not recommend this practice.
Great, knowledgeable, dedicated, highly professional doctor. Been bringing my father to him for many years. If it wouldn't be for him, my dad would be blind by now.
On the other note- when leaving the review for the doctor don't leave review based on how long your wait was -totally agree long wait is annoying, but it's not the docs fault.
