I understand why there is a wait sometime, due to the fact I needed emergency Laser eye surgery and Dr.DeRose took care of that for me. So someone on his schedule had to wait unfortunately. Whenever I go there I expect to wait. I also see Dr. Thomas and many times she is not running late. Opthalmology is a very busy specialty. Let's face it..... What's more important your time or your eyesight! I also have to say everyone there is always professional and courteous and caring. Years ago I had my mother at a different practice and we always waited at least an hour for her appointment. I recommend Lehigh Eye to anyone that asks!
Dr. Mouhammed Abuattieh One of the best drs I ever met . While pregnant I developed diabetic retinopathy at 31 years old . My eyes just couldn't handle it . I would have no vision what so ever if it wasn't for him . I did lose a large amount of my sight due to how bad integrity of the eye already was . I will forever be thankful for what I have due to this doctor . I underwent so many surgeries . Even if insurance refused he didn't give up and did it anyway . The world needs more doctors like him . My eleven year old son now gets to enjoy his life with his mom because of him .
Thank you Kari
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received at your facility today, June 24, 2025. My appointment with Dr. Thomas was scheduled for 3:00 PM, and I arrived at 2:50 PM.
There were four ladies at the front desk, but only one was assisting patients. After checking in, I waited for an hour and 30 minutes--yet no doctor showed up.
Eventually, I informed the staff that I was leaving and could no longer wait. Ironically, when patients are just 10 minutes late, their appointments are canceled. But here, patients are expected to wait nearly two hours without any urgency or apology from the staff.
One of the front desk staff claimed they informed patients that the wait time would be two hours. I was never told this--had I known, I wouldn't have scheduled the appointment in the first place. And honestly, what kind of eye appointment requires a two-hour wait just to see the doctor?
I've already told my eye doctor--who referred me here--that I need a referral to a different specialist, but definitely not to Dr. Thomas. It feels like the doctors here assume patients have no other commitments.
I would never recommend this facility to anyone.
This is a high quality, speciality clinic with some of the best ophthalmologists in the LV region. Dr Thomas is one of the most thorough and intelligent doctors I have had work through my extensive medical history and rare diagnoses to not only improve my conditions, but take time to ensure I am heard and my medical needs are met. Her expertise is as good as it gets and for me it is absolutely worth a potential 2 hour wait time. Dr DeRose is extremely bright, personable and will go the extra step for all of his patients - he is the best especially in emergent situations! It is clear all of the doctors truly care for patients and love what they do (which is rare and should be extra appreciated these days). The technicians make you feel comfortable, safe and seem to love their jobs too. The overall environment is friendly, genuine, and leaves you with a feeling of getting the care you need every visit. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who needs speciality care - especially dry eye, glaucoma, retinal, or emergency eye care needs. Bravo LES team!
Dr Thomas is a skilled physician but the scheduling is totally inconsiderate of her patients time and personal needs. When I challenged why I had to wait two hours to be seen my intelligence was insulted by the person telling me they don't overbook. I was scheduled at 10:15 and at 11:30 the 10:00 patient ahead of me was still waiting to be seen! If it takes close to 2 hours to get to see the doctor why are they scheduling patients every 15 minutes and then disrespecting us by saying they don't overbook. I think this is just pure poor management designed to benefit the practice without any consideration for the patients.
Today I had my first appointment with Dr. DeRose. His examination was thorough, he explained my options very well, and he was very nice. In addition, everybody in the office is nice and knowledgeable.
Look for another practice. The first time at the practice we waited for 5 hours most of the staff left before the appointment was even finished. The second time we waited 2 hours. The office is not upfront with their costs. Test performed on multiple days so patients ( who are now consumers of healthcare) have to pay multiple co-pays. Tried to speak to Jennifer in billing regarding my concerns she was rude, unprofessional and spoke over top of me. Kept saying this is our policy and the owner of the practice won't bend. Go someplace else.
Dr. Thomas and all the staff are amazing!! So super helpful, easy to talk to, professional and everyone always provides so much information to my many questions. I'm very grateful to have found a doctor with her extensive knowledge for my glaucoma diagnosis, right here in the Lehigh Valley. Appointment scheduling is fast and wait times have always been minimal. I highly recommend Dr. Thomas for a thorough evaluation and treatment for your eye care.
