My wife knew I was thinking about getting new glasses so she clipped an ad from Brodheadsville Eye Care Center for me. I figured why not check this place out since I like to support local businesses. I got an eye exam & bought a pair of glasses costing $549.80. The price was on the high side, but I figured they were good quality & would last a long time. Boy was I wrong - after a year & a half, the wire frame broke at the nose bridge as I removed them from my face...a clean break...so much for the good quality. I brought the glasses back & was told that the frames were only guaranteed for 1 year. When I told the man I was going to write a review about the poor quality of his glass frames, he told me that I had better get my facts straight or he would sue me! How rude! In retrospect, I should have checked out this business better...had I read the Google reviews, I would have gone elsewhere for my glasses.

Great experience front to back with not a single issue. The business is veteran owned and I love supporting that as well as keeping the money local. We had a lengthy conversation about how the eye insurance industry works from a business aspect over a year ago. A year passed and based on that, I tailored my finances and ordered four pairs of glasses for my wife and I. The doctor there was the best I have been to in over 20 years - no joke. I left with not a single question unanswered and will go back once these glasses need to be updated. I had 3 of the four glasses in my hands in six days. the fourth was just a safety glass spare that I wanted and no rush needed. Not sure what all the negative issues are about in other reviews but honestly I found the whole experience a walk in the park. I will never go on-line for glasses as you're forced to back online for every little issue too. So support your local businesses...
