I love going to Pearle Vision in Doylestown! They are so welcoming and thoroughly explain all my insurance benefits when I first check in. Dr. Reinold is so sweet and any questions or concerns that I have at the visit she takes her time and explains everything to me in detail. I would highly recommend Pearle Vision to anyone that is looking for an Optometrist!
Dr Gretchen was exceptional! I'm Diabetic, and my exam was thorough, she answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed.
Ordered glasses and they were ready in less than a week. Highly recommended!
I had to get my 2.5 year old son glasses for the first time so I came to Pearle Vision where they had a very limited selection of glasses for small children. However, I was told that they would only submit to one insurance. Either his primary insurance or secondary insurance but not both for glasses. She also said that seeing the optometrist is different and they could submit to both for that type of claim. Our secondary covers 100% of what the primary doesn't cover. Instead I had to spend a lot more than expected because I had believed them and my son needed the glasses. I tried calling after the visit and they refused to send to our secondary and our insurance said they needed the facility to send the claim and not me.
I see a lot of happy reviews for this location and I'm happy everyone seems to have found a great fit. It's not a great fit for me and my family. I feel violated by their dishonesty and don't feel comfortable returning. I highly recommend DaVinci Eye Care in Warminster where they have great doctors and great availability.
I have nothing but high praise for Pearle Vision in Doylestown, PA. They were efficient, friendly, and informative, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it.
This is my first time going to Pearle Vision and although I would go to Pearle Vision again, I would not go to the Pearle Vision in Doylestown due to one of the employees that work there, it is an older woman, but no name was ever given. I was in the store about a month ago, needing to get new glasses and sunglasses, my eye exam was done elsewhere. I have excellent insurance that entitles me to two pairs of glasses a year, with most of the cost being covered, I can usually get two pairs for under $100.00. In this instance I was getting only lenses in the pair of glasses I currently had and a new pair of sunglasses, frames and lenses, so the expense for the existing pair would not be much because my lenses are covered in full with a $10 co-pay. Like another review stated recently, I had issues with the insurance. When I get glasses, I always have my plan with me, because some places do not believe the insurance is that good and I always need to review the policy with them. During the initial visit, the total cost came out to $260, which I did agree to and part of the reason was because the saleswoman was upselling me on the anti-reflective lenses for both pairs of glasses, which has never been the case when I have gotten glasses at other locations. I get it with the sunglasses but not with regular indoor glasses. My new lenses in my glasses are no different from the last lenses I had in them and those lenses were not premium anti reflective lenses. The saleswoman had no interest in me trying to talk to her about my insurance coverage and what is covered and what I have paid in the past. She had no interest in trying to give me other options to bring the cost down. Most places would be willing to work with you and your insurance coverage so you get the best coverage at the best price. The high cost kept bothering me and thinking maybe there was a change in my insurance that I was not aware of, I called them and asked them to review my claim and they told me the first and second pair should mirror each other, same coverage for both. In reviewing the claim, they told me they had no idea how she charged it, they did not know what she charged me for and how she got to the total she did, they told me I needed to go back to the store and ask them to explain it. I did this and was met with the same saleswoman who had no interest in discussing it with me, she barely spoke to me, when trying to ask about the upcharges in the lenses, she got up from her seat and walked over to a printer and came back with a document marked "lens enhancement charges report" circled one item and said to me "you agreed to it". She was dismissive, cold, unwelcoming and extremely difficult. When I tried again to discuss my insurance coverage, she informed me that she had 26 years of insurance experience. I ended up asking her why did she need to be so difficult, no answer, so I left the store, even though I had another question that needed to be answered about the way my lenses were put into my frames on my eyeglasses. The lenses were not flush with the frame and stick out about 1/4" from the frames, so I had concerns if they were put in correctly. I ended up going to another Pearle Vision Center (Quakerbridge Mall) and asking them about the lenses. The woman working there could not have been any nicer. She knew exactly what my concerns were with the lenses as soon as I showed her, took five minutes to examine them and then another five minutes to explain that the lenses were fine, would not "pop out" and gave a detailed explanation as to why they were placed in the frame that way. Excellent customer service from her. Lesson learned that I not agree to something until I fully understand that my insurance has been used so I get the best coverage that it offers, and to make sure I get a detailed invoice that breaks down the cost accurately. I agree with the previous review, this location is also not a good fit for me, also feel there is a bit of dishonesty and definitely not a location I would be comfortable in returning to.
