I am a newer patient. My first visit was amazing! Dr. Berson was thorough, knowledgeable and completely addressed my concerns. Donna is the absolute best! I was recently on vacation and lost my glasses and had no contact lenses. She helped me immediately! The office is everything I could ever want! Professional, friendly, and compassionate! I wish every office I have to go to was just like them!
I am giving 5 stars to try to help boost the poor rating of this practice that, in my opinion, gave professional and courteous service. The staff was very nice, they ran my insurance with no problem and hardly any time, the doctor spent ample time with me and answered questions I had about my eyes, my contact order came in quickly and they called to let me know. I have nothing negative to say. It seems others have had a different things to say, but for me, Progressive Vision Institute was a great experience.
My eye doctor of over 30 years sold his practice to this entity. I attempted to schedule an appointment on 4 separate occasions only to leave a message on their answering machine each time with no follow up from the staff.
out of frustration, I drove over to the main location to request my medical records so I could find an optometrist closer to home. I must say the staff here were the absolute rudest I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I understand why my calls were never returned. The "receptionist" allowed that phone to ring and ring and ring while I was in the office and she also made me stand there while she finished her computer work before asking the purpose of my visit.
The staff were curt, rude and snotty. They know nothing of customer service. I wouldn't go here if all my future visits and prescriptions were offered for free!
Awful awful awful
Visited recently for the first time for a routine exam. They saw me right on schedule, and were very kind and accommodating. Marc Berson was very thorough through the exam, answered all my questions patiently and provided lots of very helpful insight towards my specific issues. After the exam, Rob Macsi was again very patient and helpful in recommending and assisting with new frames. I never got the name of the woman who saw me first, but she was again very friendly and professional.
Overall, I felt confident that everyone gave me their full attention and wasn't satisfied until I was satisfied. I'm glad I chose this office and it's definitely my preferred choice for vision care now.
I have been coming to this practice for a few years now...... The Dr and staff are so welcoming and accommodating. They have a very nice selection of frames.... and are so helpful in selecting the right style..... I look forward to my annual check ups and have always referred co-workers and friends to them...... My husband has tried so many different eyeglass establishments and has never found a pair of bifocals that worked until now. He is so happy with the staff and how they work to get things right for the patient. After more than 50 years of wearing multiple pairs of glasses, he finally has one pair that works for driving and reading. Thank you Hamilton Eye.
Stay away. This place engages in insurance fraud. I was there 2 hours & 15 minutes (way too long) with no other people scheduled after me, an uneducated tech person does all the eye care & testing while the Dr sits in the next room reading, she comes in & spends literally 2 minutes with you, says your fine. If the office manager took the time to call your insurance company instead of arguing with you, they might not have to be forced to reimbursed money they weren't suppose to collect, in the first place, however, insisting this is the way it works. Completely incompetent. Then before you can even walk to your vehicle, the staff hastily departs the parking lot before you, with no interest in considering discussing your eye prescription script or appt for eyeglasses. They are not only incompetent but rude as well. I have no idea how they are still in business, just look at the ratings scale.
Worst doctors ever. This was my first eye doctor office in PA and they were awful. I came in with irritated, red, painful eyes and the eye doctor did nothing about it. All she said was I had to see another doctor and sent me on my way. I came back to the referred doctor and same thing.
I was in desperate need of new glasses and ended up getting my glasses here. DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE! My prescription was completely wrong. To see clearly I had to turn my glasses upside down because that's where my prescription was, at the bottom! I've had my glasses for a year and they have been deteriorating since month 4. These glasses were priced at $272.00. Never again.
