Walmart Vision & Glasses

The Manager was exceptional i never give a 5 star rating .i do this time excellent service. I am impressed.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR VISION. I'm currently sitting on a $200+ pair of glasses that are unsafe to wear and without a resolution. (Edit: Everything was refunded and no longer having issues with corrected prescription from Vision Works down the street) Please save your self the actual real migraines. Walmart is inexpensive for a reason but it shouldn't cause health concerns. The run around to get a fix is unacceptable at this point. Dr Lund gave me the WRONG prescription and it seems like the women in the eyeglasses place know about it somehow. No one care's enough to fix it. It puts the burden on the patient not the doctor. The very first remake one of the ladies was pushing for a full refund and I should have listened and went somewhere else immediately. I was the one that pushed for a remake instead and it's been issue after issue. The manager did go out of her way for the 2nd remake and I thought things were fine, but within the week of the third pair, I started getting bad migraines. I paid out of pocket for a different eye exam with a new eye doctor. The prescription was wrong from Dr Lund. I tried to return the glasses so my insurance would reinstate benefits and the ladies can't do anything without a managers approval. So I'm missing work now to try to get a refund to talk directly with the manager. This is all for a basic routine eyeglass exam. Please just go somewhere else.

I received my new glasses from Walmart Vision Center on November 8, 2024. They billed my insurance and I paid $258.50 out of pocket. They were not right from the beginning, but I thought that my vision was just changing and that this was the new normal. I went to my Ophthalmologist for my annual medical eye exam on April 2, 2025. As part of the exam, she looked at my prescription to see how much it had changed since last year and told me the prescription was wrong and that I should return them to Walmart. She completed another refraction which I had to pay for since my insurance had already paid Walmart. I brought the glasses back to Walmart who told me that the Ophthalmologist was wrong and that they were correct. I showed her the new prescription and she said "your prescription must have changed" I explained that was my Ophthalmologist had compared my new refraction to previous years and that they were comparable. The glasses from Walmart was much different. She finally agreed to replace the glasses with the new prescription, not because they made an error, but only because the Walmart glasses had stress fractures in them. I was clearly annoying her and she acted as though she was doing me a favor that was not warranted. I picked up my new glass on April 8. 2025. I knew immediately they were wrong again. I asked if I had 30 days to return them and she said no. I brought the new glasses back to my Ophthalmologist office on April 14, 2025. She examined and measured the new pair of glasses and once again they were wrong. The provider said that she had never seen lenses and measurements so off form the prescription. Now I have to pay out of pocket a total of $395.00 for yet another pair of glasses because of Walmart's incompetency on two separate occasions. It was an awful experience and substandard customer service. Needless to say, I will never go back to Walmart Vision Center.

If I could give negative I will, but my only choice is one start. Listen to me and to the other negative reviews. The doctor will do your eye exam in a rush, he can literally mess top your vision. Roberta and the receptionist are so damm rude, they have 0 customer skills. Do not go there and waste your money or even worse make your vision even worst. DO NOT GO HERE. I will be calling to my insurance and ask not to pay them, because he did not took his time to get my eye prescription accurately. Please just go somewhere else.

This review is of the people who handle the glasses and ordering. The eating prescription was ordered for my daughter by Rebekah, and then my daughter had to wait an additional two weeks to receive her new pair of glasses. Then, I ordered glasses for my other daughter and they kept sending me reminders that someone else's glasses were ready for pick up. I called and asked if MY child's glasses were ready and they were like "oh yeah, they've been ready"! Unorganized and only one person there knows what they're doing.

I stopped in with broken frames and Amy got me out of there in less than ten minutes. She hooked me up with a protection plan so it only cost me $20.00. I will never go without the protection plan again. Super friendly and super helpful. You're lucky to have her taking care of your customers.

If I could give negative stars, I would... Initial experience was great, friendly staff, nice glasses.. until we found out from our insurance company that the claim for the frames & lenses was submitted incorrectly, and therefore was denied by the insurance company - resulting in our paying out of pocket full price. Numerous phone calls to the center during normal business hours & no one answers. The vision center never has customers and always has 2-3 employees, so I don't know why no one can answer the phone. Went into the center in person, for some reason only the manager can resubmit a claim and she's never available. Would love to be able to find contact info for their Regional or District manager because this is absolutely unacceptable.

Nasty lady just hung up on me. She was rushing me and said she was busy with a customer. Don't pick up the phone then jeeze. She didn't say bye or anything. My request was so simple. I understand everyone has a bad day but don't just hang up. Not sure if u record any calls but if so you'll see. Take my number next time and call me back. I spent a lot of money there.
