America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

My experience getting the eye exam and picking out glasses was great. However that's where the good stops. Mona is a customer DISSERVICE specialist. She ignored my questions, leaving me on hold for way longer than necessary. Instead of helping me with my order, she gave me a whining rant about how she was working alone and was too busy to check on my glasses. She also gave me a fake tracking number for my eyeglasses. Would definitely recommend the medical staff doing the exam, but best to buy the glasses themselves elsewhere.

Ive been going to Americas Best for about 4 years, but this location for the first time and am very dissapointed. I dont have vision insurance so pay for the "membership" (3 appointments for 110$ is a very good price). I told them I am happy with my current prescription and have no issues. The assistant who has you read letters on the wall and do the shot of air in your eyes decided to just slightly change one eye, and since they dont have my "new " prescription in store, I will have to come back for a follow up (wasting a whole appointment in the membership !!!) After taking time off work to come to this appointment, get 1 puff of air in my eye not even an actual appointment , and leave WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION was a massive waste of time, and I guess the membership isnt so great because theyll try to make you use up 2 visits for a basic exam .

Fraud deception dishonesty. I spent $775 two pair of glasses with insurance they ship the first pair no problem second pair arrived UPS damaged as everybody is aware only the shipper can put in a claim not the customer when I called in The sales people are told to tell the customer you have to deal with it then the manager came on the line she said I have to pay $25 and they'll deal with it then she lied and said we'll put in a claim on your insurance I bought which is fraudulent and illegal to claim something that never happened under the replacement insurance I bought I'm out 375 for the second pair of glasses I never received America's Best has a criminal policy fraudulent telling customers as a policy You have to contact UPS when of course everybody knows only the shipper can contact UPS and put in a claim. Then they want to charge $25 and they'll do it for you. Then they'll want to lie and say oh we'll just put it on the insurance you bought and then you will never be able to get a replacement pair even though we damaged them shipping them to you You're just out of luck. I found a better business bureau complaint online reviews we've got letters going out to corporate office stay away from Erie Pennsylvania America's Best they're an absolute disaster dishonest I spent a small fortune on two pair of glasses and got screwed Don't be screwed buy elsewhere

Second time here, thought maybe first time was a bad day fluke because the first time we had waited a very long time. Gave a second chance and it still took FOREVER to be seen. I had scheduled my daughter's appointment during her lunch hoping she wouldn't miss much of her classes. Her appointment was at 11:50. Didn't get called back to see the doctor until 12:36, done with exam at 12:51, waited another ten minutes before getting to the desk to order glasses. Finally got out of there at 1:25. Totally unacceptable for a routine eye exam! Exams are scheduled every ten minutes but there is only one doctor and it takes longer than that for each appointment. Perhaps, maybe, either space out appointments or have more than one doctor. The only positive was that the staff was all very nice and understanding when I was visibly frustrated with the whole process. Poor girl had to wait until almost 2 to even eat lunch

While the staff was very nice, I do not understand why a simple, basic appointment would take just over 2 hours. No "hey, running behind or I'm sorry for delays." Appointment was at 11, Doctor didn't see my child until nearly 1230. We had two appointments and the second was almost identical in wait time. If appointment are scheduled every 10 mins, they need another Doctor, since the visit takes so long. We had one other issue years ago, when the wrong glasses frames and Rx was delivered, then we were given the runaround. This will be our last visit.

Came to look glasses bought a glass a lady was up there her name was Mona she was so disrespectful so attitude she needs to get fire worst this place is so absolute worst doctor is great everyone was great but her very clueless she don't know what she is doing i will never ever go this place i asked her my prescription she refuse and said doctor will check first and give u and told me doctor won't be in a week really!! Please don't do business here specially with the lady name MONA!!

The wonderful salesperson named Abbie helped me pick out some awesome frames for me and my kids. She made it fast and easy and I was out of there in less than an hour! Thanks Abbie!
