In treatment for a concussion, I was referred to Dr. Villella's Eye Clinic where I was initially seen by Dr. Rebecca Sutter, then also by him. She introduced me to light therapies, special lenses and other exercises that have helped restore my vision and my general well-being. I'm able to walk and drive with confidence, read without headaches and make art once again. Dr. Villella is retiring but thankfully, Dr. Sutter is continuing his practice. Woohoo! Grateful beyond words for the care I received, Erie needs to know that we're blessed to have one of the finest eye care clinics available in the US!

This is the second time that I have gone to see Dr. Villella for concussion related vision issues and 'hands down' he is the best around! Dr. Villella is passionate about his work and his patients. This is seen through his excitement in detailing treatments as well as his commitment to making sure I understood what to do once I was home. When starting a new treatment, he provides a call number directly to him, and he responds that same day! I would recommend Dr. Villella to help you through your difficult situation!

Dr. Villella is amazing! He helped to correct my eyesight after a terrible concussion. He provided exercises, light therapy, and consults to other amazing physicians and PT. I could never have gotten back to normal without his services!

Dr. Villella is an excellent eye doctor whom I highly recommend, especially for anyone who has experienced concussions. Over a year ago, I took a hockey puck to the eye and lost some of my vision. Months later, I began to have issues with reading, constant headaches, and anxiety that I had not experienced before. Dr. Villella was instrumental in helping me address my vision issue due to double vision, as well as offering therapies for vision and restlessness. He also provided guidance on diet concerns and identified potential mold toxicity concerns. He is one of the few doctors knowledgeable about the effects of mold on our health and has actionable steps to determine if you are affected. I consistently felt that I was in good hands throughout my treatment, and it felt like we were proactively working to resolve my symptoms. Dr. Villella was excellent with our daughter. He was able to quickly diagnose her and make recommendations for treatment. The use of light therapy and various hand-eye coordination movements worked beautifully and at each appointment we were able to track measurable improvement. He took the time to ensure we felt comfortable with each exercise and explained everything in great detail. We would highly recommend him for any eye care needs you or your child have!

BEST Doctor EVER!! He treated me like a person not just a number on his schedule. He actually listened to everything I had to say, at EVERY appointment! Dr. Villella is one of the most knowledgeable care providers I've come across. After suffering from headaches for years from an untreated concussion, he was able to put together a comprehensive recovery plan tailored for me. He prescribed me a pair of Prism lenses with tint for headaches, eye exercises, and wellness supplements. I feel better than I have in years thanks to Dr. Villella's holistic approach to recovery. I was referred to Dr. Villella by my eye doctor for a shaking vision issue I'd been struggling with for many years. I found him to be quite caring, compassionate, considerate, thorough and VERY knowledgeable! I love that he took the time needed to ask questions, do testing, ask more questions then, taking all things into consideration, prescribing a treatment plan and explaining the how-tos of home exercises along with follow-up visits to reassess & redirect as needed.
