Erie Eye Clinic

I was referred here by my eye Dr for cataract surgery. When I went in for a exam and when they went to put eye drops in to dilate my pupils I asked will I be able to drive after exam. I was told yes. Well it was bad enough with out the sun but I went to the store when I came out and the sun was shining and with the snow on ground I was just about blinded. Then when I when back and informed them of the situation they put me in (a few days later) the woman that put them in gave a smirk. And as stated the women that the front desk is a very poor customer relations person. She seems mad at just having to do her job. Ill not go back

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Villela, he is so wonderful. He takes the time to explain everything and is very thorough. But the woman at the desk that does check-in and check-out.... Wow. No personality, VERY unfriendly. She is just out right rude. Every visit she has been rude, not only to me but every patient I've seen her interact with. It's rough. If Dr. Villela weren't so wonderful, this woman is bad enough that I would absolutely find another office.

I called in the late morning and was able to schedule a same day emergency appointment. Seen and sent on my way all before 4pm. Dr Sala was straight forward and explained what treatment options were and what he thought would be more relief. Couldn't of asked for more.

Think twice before assistant was too liberal with the eye drops. I was there for my yearly diabetic eye exam. Had been going there for years and never had an issue until my last visit when they over dilated my eyes and it lasted for three days. Since then my eyes have swelling and redness. I called to let them know about the reaction to the drops and no one called me back until a year later. Never going there again.

I typically avoid writing negative reviews, but in this case, I feel compelled to share my experience (which is not related to their doctors, but rather the staff). When I called to schedule an appointment, the receptionist who answered the phone was rude. After explaining the treatment I required, she put me on hold for several minutes before abruptly hanging up. I called back, and unfortunately, the same receptionist answered. When I reminded her that I had just called, she seemed to remember me and she put me on hold again. When she returned to the call, she spoke something unclearly that I had to ask her to repeat. Then she became very impatient and unfriendly and raised her voice, asking why I was calling. Overall, the entire experience was unpleasant, with the receptionist displaying poor customer service skills.

Nice staff and would suggest going here if you need an ophthalmologist.

AMAZING staff, very friendly. Dr Seth Fox is such a talented surgeon, very professional, friendly and knows his stuff! I had to have a cornea transplant and was so nervous; Dr Fox and his staff were reassuring, patient, took time to answer each and every question. Recommend them all day long.

Dr. Villella had a clinic or an educational meeting at Fysical (PT) this past year. The therapists mentioned my problems with balance to him and he thought I might be a good candidate for vision training. This was the first positive I had heard of. I had balance issues after returning from an ocean cruise. I have been working on balance for about a year . At first I thought this vision training might be just hocus pocus but, I was willing to give it a try. Now I feel so much better and in balance that I am willing to give skiing a try again. Dr. Villella was patient and kind. I now have prisms in my glasses He explained everything to me .I did the vision exercises for almost a year. At times it was discouraging but, Dr. Villella kept encouraging me . He even gave me a phone number where I could reach him directly. I was motivated so I kept working on it. Today I am very grateful for his help and hope I continue to improve. Dr. Villella is the only eye doctor in Erie who does this vision training. I have read some of the other reviews and have to say that I have always found the staff pleasant and helpful.
