Griffith Eye Center

Will never go to or recommend Griffith Eye Center. A year ago Griffith appeared on my EyeMed insurance list. Took a friend in and spent about an hour with Roseanne (she is wonderful and very helpful). After we found the perfect glasses found out Griffith does not accept EyeMed though still to this day on the list. Decided I loved the glasses so much I had to have them. Paid full price. Picked up my glasses and thought they seemed a bit off. Thought I just needed to get use to the new prescription. Started getting headaches. Waited until insurance would pay for yearly eye exam. Found out my glasses were not made to the prescription. Yes it was a year later but needed to wait for insurance. Went back to Griffith. Was told there is nothing they can do because glasses are a year old. Their lab made the glasses wrong. They should fix them!

Worst ever!! I inadvertently did something to irritate one of them and they all started treating me they were a bunch of high school girls in a clique. I've been through a lot the past few years. I had cancer, surgery, and treatment, my sister died and I really didn't need this right now. We have had a business for over 40 years and we have never ever talked to anyone that way and we deal with the public also. There is no excuse for unprofessional behavior like this.

I recently visited Griffith Eye Care Center in Erie, PA, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the friendly and professional staff. Dr. Griffith is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in detail, making sure I felt comfortable and informed about my cataract procedure. The office is state-of-the-art and immaculately clean, making me feel safe and well cared for. I highly recommend Griffith Eye Care Center to anyone looking for top-notch eye care. They truly go above and beyond for their patients!

Great visit for sn eye exam and new glasses. One stop shop!

Dr. Griffith is a very competent and caring surgeon who is only a phone call away if any problems. The Optometrist was very professional and her friendly demeanor put me at ease. I came for an eye and contact lens problems. She gave me the most thorough eye exam and took the time to explain how my eye strain and headaches were eye related. She looked under eyelids, (after washing her hands before and after), and found the source of my eye pain, while resolving the problem with medication and new contacts. The staff is excellent, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Overall, the doctors and team seem to put the "care" in eyecare for their patients.

During my recent visit, I encountered a disconcerting lack of professionalism on multiple fronts. Not only did the doctor attempt to impose unsolicited medical advice unrelated to eye health, regarding my bodily autonomy, she did so in a rude and demeaning manner, after my exam was already done, prolonging my visit unnecessarily when all I wanted was to just pay and go home. I also had to request that she clean the refractor, which was visibly covered in the last patient's facial grease and skin colored makeup. This entire experience left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. Consequently, I would never go back to this establishment and would not recommend it to others.

My new patient visit with Dr. Alan Sutter went very smoothly. Dr. Sutter was friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. He answered all of my questions. Thank you!

I'm a new patient here. (I used the chain eye glass places previously.) By far the best eye exam I have ever had. It was very thorough. I found new frames right in the office.
