My family and I had a great experience here. Angie and Penny are SO amazing. From calling to make the appointment, to checking in, doing the initial eye exam and then picking out glasses, it was all phenomenal because of those two. Dr Andren was also so great! He made me feel a lot better about the fact that I was so overdue for an eye exam. His many years of experience shows with his expertise. Lastly I really appreciated being able to schedule without having to wait months to be seen.

Best optometrist in Pennsylvania. The glasses I gotten here have always been 10 times better than anywhere else. I can see better than 20/20 because of Andren.

I have been going to him for many years. He is thorough with his exam. The dr and staff are very kind.

I moved to Harrisburg a year ago and put off finding a new eye doctor and getting an up to date eyeglasses prescription. I recently lost my glasses and wasn't able to get a new set due to my most recent prescription being expired. I called many eye doctors in the area and explained my situation but couldn't get anything scheduled until July at the earliest. Luckily, Dr. Andren's office was able to squeeze me in that day! The office staff was professional, personable, and very helpful. Dr. Andren was also very professional and personable, and explained everything he was checking during the eye exam very clearly and made me feel very confident that I was receiving top quality eye care. I am very happy and will plan on coming back for my eye care as long as I live in the area!

Best experience I've had with ANY eye doctors office. They fixed my glasses at no charge. This was an emergency bc I can't see anything without them, but they told me no matter what, when I came back for them, they'd either fix them or pop lenses into a new frame. Penny was SO NICE. 10/10

I was looking for a top optometrist in my area. I am getting older and do not want to travel far anymore... I came across Dr. John Andren OD from a search on Google. Read the reviews and they were very good. So I made a appointment and got in the following Monday after calling on the previous Thursday. WOW that was not expected at all.I explained to the office manager I am 60 years old and want to explore if I can wear contact lenses with a fairly complex prescription. They informed me that there was a good chance I could. I have never worn contact lenses before. The Doctor took a lot of time with me going over so much and testing me at a very in depth level and answering all my questions. I am a type2 diabetic so my vision is something I watch very closely. I started wearing glasses about 20 years ago and have to say I am ready to move on to a part time usage of them now. The staff was amazingly patient with me as they taught me to take the contacts in and out of my eyes several times... They were very calm even though I was nervous and flustered with myself... I got it finally but have much more practicing to do moving forward. I was treated so well I thought I was at resort. I do not care if my insurance paid for this or not. Just shut up and take my cash. I came home and explained it to my wife and she will be going to see him for her next exam as well.. It is so hard to find a doctor anymore that cares and with the rush of all these Doc-in-a-Box outfits I could not bring myself to go to. Dr. John Andren OD is as far as I am concerned the only Eye Doctor I will ever go to in the future. Sorry for the long read but it will be worth it...

Have been a patient of Dr. Andrew for years on recommendation of former co-worker. Pleasant atmosphere, professional and friendly staff. Wanted/needed cheap frames and they promptly pulled out a box of under $50. Didn't even try to talk me into more expensive ones. I really appreciated that.

I was a new patient at Dr. Andren's office. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. Dr. Andren is very personable, friendly, and kind. This is a great office and I highly recommend them.
