I had a wonderful experience at this clinic. Dr. Kardos was so thorough and communicative with the exam. He explained next steps and was just a calm, competent practitioner. Cindy, the receptionist/office manager, was sweet and so helpful. She helped me pick the best pair of glasses I've had in 40+ years of wearing them. Highly recommend this practice.

I'd been told that nothing could be done about a loss of hearing in my left hear that diminished my ability to distinguish words from one another. At my wife's urging, I got a second opinion from Dottie, and she found a solution in the form of just the right hearing aid. I am grateful for positive change it has made, and my wife is glad she no longer needs to repeat things. If you are facing any sort of issue with your hearing, I urge you to make Dottie your first choice for help. I wish I had.

The manufacturer of my hearing aids (Starkey) recommended Dorothy at Central PA Eye & EAR. In the year I have been a patient of Dorothy's I can assure you she is very "skillful at her work." She truly listens (no pun intended) to you as a patient and takes a genuine interest in helping to resolve your issues. She acts as a liaison between the manufacturer and you, her patient, until she gets the problem solved. ***This is particularly noteworthy because I did NOT purchase my hearing aids from Dorothy as a dealer.*** The frequent interventions that were done to "fix" my problem required multiple phone calls over a few weeks between the Technical Services department and even her local "rep" to get everything resolved with the manufacturer of my hearing aids. I appreciate Dorothy's diligence -and- I thank her for her persistence as well as for her patience to resolve my issues with a Starkey product. In summary, if King Solomon lived in the Harrisburg area and needed hearing aids I would readily submit his many advisors would recommend visiting Dorothy at Central PA Eye & EAR. She cares very much about helping you as a patient and in the final analysis, I believe even Solomon himself would be satisfied.

I tried scheduling an exam with Cindy today and was very perturbed ; she doesn't seem to know what she is doing , and asked me for my information more than 3 times, despite me speaking clear and slow to her. I'm also not sure why she couldn't provide me the copay details for the exam I inquired about today, nor a date and time to call back in the near future despite scheduling the appointment for 2/23. This is ver concerning, and I would prefer the establishment not call me back to schedule an exam. Hopefully they rectify this issue.

Fantastic eye doctor! Dr. Kardos was thorough, efficient, and a great communicator. He asked insightful questions, and he gave detailed explanations of each exam. I left knowing I was in good hands. Everyone was warm and personable, and I'm glad I was referred here.

I had my eye exam and contact fitting appointment this Sept 2023. Dr. Kardos was great!! As he was doing these tests, he gave clear instructions, explained step by step what he was testing for, and did so in a way that I would understand. He also showed me the pictures of my eyes and explained what he looks for if there's anything wrong and asked me if I had any questions after each test and explanation in case I had any. I felt heard and taken care of. At the end, he sat with me and helped break down available options in terms of types of contact lenses and costs. I'm definitely going to come back for my routine eye exams. Thank you to Dr. Kardos for giving me the care I needed and Cindy for greeting me and taking care of me in setting up my initial appointment and ringing me up. I would definitely recommend you to make an appointment at this office. I give Central PA Eye & Ear 5 Stellar Stars The office is neat and clean. It is conveniently in the middle of downtown right next to the capitol building, near cafes and the river. Make it a day and elevate your Harrisburg experience by grabbing a cup of coffee and relaxing near the river after the eye exam.

We had our son's vision tested and received great service throughout. The environment was very kid-friendly, and we truly appreciate Dr. Kardo's incredible patience and clear explanation of the issue.
