I have been a patient of this practice for Many Years. For most of the time, Dr Mishra has been my Doctor. My eyes do have some issues that need to be monitored and I feel that Dr Mishra is absolutely one of the Best doctors and I feel that I receive the Best available care for my eyes.
A few years ago my husband had a water skiiing incident and saw some flashing lights in his eyes. He went to see Dr Mishra and he found a partial detached retina in one of his eyes. After referring him to an eye surgeon, upon examining my husbands eyes the surgeon asked who the doctor was that found the detachment. The surgeon said that the location of the detachment was such that most doctors would not have found it. The surgeon repaired the tear and my husband's eyes have been fine.
The office is modern and very clean. The office staff is always very nice !

Dr. Mishra treated me with respect and compassion. His expertise in the field of cataract surgery was evident in the skill and speed with which he performed the procedure on me and many others on the two days I was there in the surgical area. In the consultation appointments he and his staff gave me complete details on what would be done and how it would improve my vision. Even during the procedures Dr. Mishra described what he was doing. I am amazed at the results and would recommend him to anyone who has cataracts.

Gautam Mishra, M.D., completed his bachelor's degree at Boston College and went on to graduate from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Dr. Mishra served as Chief Resident during his residency in Ophthalmology at Wake Forest University, North Carolina. He received his training in cornea and refractive surgery at Albany Medical Center and joined Schein Ernst Mishra Eye in 2006. Dr. Mishra is board certified in ophthalmology and is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology in the Penn State College of Medicine. Dr. Mishra has performed thousands of surgeries since he began operating in 2004 and joined Schein Ernst Mishra Eye in 2006, where he now serves as Vice President of the company.
