Vittone Eye Surgical Associates

The office lady's do not do a good job, and they are not very friendly! My son had an appointment for contacts, we ordered the contacts before leaving. After several calls over a 3 month period, one office lady says they were never ordered. Walmart has better customer service than this place.

I just had cataract surgery performed by Dr. Vittone. He was very comprehensive, professional and kind. I highly appreciate and recommend his services.

The dr was nice, as well as the lady who did the tests for my mother. That's where the compliment ends. The front office staff are a whole other situation. From the moment you walk in, they have a horrible attitude. It's like them having to do their job is a horrible inconvenience. I work in customer service, so I understand that people are difficult at times. But when we walk in the door, as a new client, and you have that attitude, that's a whole different matter. The dr definitely needs to think things through with his front staff. Take this, as well as the other reviews as warning.

DON'T EVER GO TO VITTONE EYE ASSOCIATES! The doctors are good, but the nurse and Latrobe Optical SUCKS! They are LIARS and RIP OFF ARTISTS! I had an unbelievably bad experience here. I requested a prescription for eye drops and had to call repeatedly for two months. The nurse rarely answered the phone or returned calls. Then she refused to submit an authorization to my insurance company. She even lied to me on the phone, telling me she submitted the authorization; when I called my insurance company, they verified that they had never heard from the nurse. I eventually had to ask my PCP to submit the prescription for me. After doing this, I received my prescription within a week. Then don't even get me started on Latrobe Optical which is located within Vittone Eye Associates. They claimed that they sold me a pair of glasses with polycarbonate lenses which are unbreakable. One of the lenses broke within a month. I've been wearing polycarbonate lenses for years and have NEVER had a lens break until going to Latrobe Optical. I called them to ask if I could have a refund and was told that I could only exchange the glasses for the exact same kind I had originally ordered. I said I didn't want the same kind because they would just break again. I disputed the charge with my credit card because I asserted that Latrobe Optical had sold me cheap plastic lenses instead of the polycarbonate lenses I had ordered because polycarbonate lenses are unbreakable. Not long after disputing the charge, I received a threatening, snotty phone call from the woman who works in Latrobe Optical; she said, "Those WERE polycarbonate lenses and I WILL be contacting your credit card company to prove it. You WILL have to pay for the glasses! If you have any questions, CONTACT ME!" She lied to the credit card company saying that I had never contacted them to resolve the issue. So, I had to pay for a pair of broken glasses. I will never return to Vittone Eye Associates because I don't want to be ignored, lied to, or ripped off by them ever again. Very unprofessional!

Absolutely the best and the most affordable I'm almost blind and I laughed when they told me my total it was so cheap I thought it was a prank. And the super nice frames lots of fancy brands! I got Micheal Kors and they were not that expensive at all!!

Always treat us right and work with us. Will keep coming for sure.

Dr. Vittone is exceptional. I am a new person because of his care. I went to him because my eyes hurt so badly, swollen and red. After a very thorough examination he asked if I had allergies? I didn't know that I did. He proceeded to explain the medications over the and behind the prescription counter which I was not aware. I now take his recommendations and feel good again! The staff is very friendly.

2/9/19 Went for my initial eye exam to determine whether I was candidate for Lasik eye surgery. The office staff was super nice, answered any and all questions and were all very courteous. The initial exam lasted roughly 90 minutes. Everything was explained in great detail.
