The employee & the doctor I interacted with were friendly & professional. Once I arrived & checked in, I didn't wait long in the waiting room. The doctor talked me into taking a $35 eye exam in addition to the standard eye exam. I'm diabetic, so it was a relief that no issues were found with the nerves and blood vessels.
I was satisfied with the frames they had on display. It took awhile to make up my mind though, seemed like I spent 20mins of my 1 hour appointment just looking at the frames.
Since the Monroeville Mall just got bought and will shutdown, I hope VisionWorks stays in Monroeville.
In store service was good although I was severely upsold well about my insurance coverage. The one star rating is for after appointment service. I requested my prescription FOUR times to be emailed or snail mailed to me after I verified identification FOUR times. I cannot get to Monroeville Mall and they did not make an effort to give me my RX. They had me email customer support and they never returned an email. Smell ya, or rather, see ya never Visionworks.
I am writing to formally complain about the extremely poor service my family and I received at the Vision Work (Visionworks) location on Monroeville Mall Boulevard.
My mother dropped off her glasses at this location, and they are now stating that the glasses cannot be found. Despite this being a serious issue, the situation was handled with complete disregard and a lack of professionalism by the store manager, Tracy. Her response was dismissive, disrespectful, and unacceptable for someone in a leadership role.
The manager accused my mother of lying about dropping off the glasses, which was deeply offensive and inappropriate. When I asked if there was someone higher than her that I could speak with, she stated that she was the highest authority. However, once I informed her that the conversation was being recorded, she then suddenly provided me with contact information for a regional manager--clearly contradicting her earlier statement.
While I have since spoken with the regional manager and am awaiting a resolution, I feel it is important to formally document how poorly this situation was handled. Losing a customer's property is serious enough, but the disrespect, dishonesty, and lack of accountability shown by management made the experience far worse.
The service we received from this location was terrible and unacceptable. I expect accountability, a resolution regarding the missing glasses, and assurance that this type of treatment will not happen to other customers in the future.
My experience was very good. Only problem I had was the AI answering service was terrible. She couldn't understand what I was saying kept making me repeat stuff and then when she did repeat it, she got it wrong. They really need a better quality AI answering device other than that, the experience was very good with the associates.
It's a friendly atmosphere and the staff is very helpful and kind. They assist you with your concerns and help you accordingly. It's easy to get an appointment too. I have been going there years and I'm always pleased with my experiences there.
If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is beyond frustrating and has been nothing but a headache for me and my family. I honestly don't understand how they have so many good reviews because our experiences have been terrible.
On my first visit, I was ignored for over 10 minutes while staff were openly on their phones. There was an older woman in particular that was extremely rude, dismissive, and even seemed to be talking badly about me.
My husband also had problems when he went in for contacts. His trial lenses were expired when they gave them to him. After pointing it out, they replaced them with a new pair, but the fact that expired contacts were even handed out to begin with is unsafe. Imagine if he never checked!
The worst of all was when I brought my son for glasses. They messed up his order three times--wrong measurements, missing features I paid for, and endless delays. They kept sending it to the lab. But what should have taken 10-14 business days dragged into almost a month. And instead of apologizing, that older woman acted irritated that we had to keep coming back when it was their fault to begin with.
I've been going to Visionworks for years. I will be going to other locations in the future. This location is unprofessional.
I had an amazing experience at vision work's monroeville. The staff is incredible. We were greeted at the door and the manager Tracy was absolutely amazing and extremely helpful. I would recommend this office to anyone seeking glasses.
I had the pleasure of going to the vision center at Monroeville Mall. Tracy Helgert and staff were as very friendly and accommodating . I didn't have an appointment. I asked if they could help me out and do an adjustment on my frames to make them tighter. They were able to help me immediately and I was in and out within about 15 minutes. Thank you for employing people like Zach, he was very professional and patient as he ended.up adjusting my frame 3 times making sure that I felt comfortable with each adjustment. He said we have to make sure they feel right!
