I've been going to Family Eye Care for many years and have watched the practice evolve. I love the doctors there, and the staff is always helpful and courteous. What I love most is the doctors always give you the best advice to help you make informed decisions about your eye care. They take their time to explain what is happening with your eyes as you age and what steps you need to take. They don't just treat you like a patient, but like a person with real needs, and they don't beat around the bush about your medical situation. Very upfront and to the point! You can't ask for anymore than that from your doctor. I'm pleased with their services, and as long as they are around, I plan to continue to go. Great establishment!

Had the worst medial exam of my life with this guy. Struggled to operate the lens apparatus. Put the dilating drops in my eyes. Told him I couldnt see well, he told me to drive home. He cant speak, just commands and single words. Never asked what my issues were. I tried to explain. He wouldnt let me speak. The lens he settled on mad my vision far worse. I plan to contact the State and file a formal complaint. I would not let him examine the tread on my tires. This Guy Is Dangerous. I'd rate a zero if it would let me.

Dr. Smay has been my eye doctor for 25+ years. He has changed, Not friendly at all. Dose not even acknowledge my son when he walks in the room. He is very quick and my prescription is not correct. I am seeing a new eye Doctor today.

First of all 1 starsis being generous, but, this office after trying to charge my mom another $30 which she had a receipt for but they're insisting she never made the payment, they made her an appointment and then forgot to schedule her in and wanted her to reschedule. The staff just smugly sat behind the counter without even so much as an apology. I have had nothing but problems with this place. I told my mom she can find somewhere else to go, I had quit going to him after they forgot about my children for over 3 hours and had to redilate their eyes and then forgot about them for another hour or so. We've been going to the eye doctor in the kittanning Walmart, those guys are awesome.

Rude, curt receptionist and doctor. Got my prescription wrong 3 times, increasingly rude and short with me as I tried to get this rectified. I suffered over a year of headaches from uneven vision through my glasses until getting new insurance to change eye doctors. Don't waste your time here if you don't have to. I'd recommend Dr. Shields or Dr. Seria instead.

Always professional and courteous, from the moment you call on the phone to set the appointment, to the time you're leaving the office afterward. Receptionists, technicians, docs, back-office folks are all top-notch. High standards in every regard. A business that gets it.

After the office staff made a mistake and he refused to see me for my appointment, he would not even come out to answer one question. The office staff is just as rude, too. I filed a complaint with the insurance company and the attorney general.

Needed cataract surgery, but had Afib & other health issues that had too be treated first asked please get me a new pair of glasses till able to get the surgery ,was told no ask for my scrap. ask Dr. Smay to calls Would no return calls the staff was rude.so I called eye care center in Tarentum they help me and with respect ..
