East Falls Eye Associates

Convenience of the office to the rest of east falls is very nice and I have no complaints about the doctor. However, MAKE SURE to ask about the cost of the exams and everything they plan to do BEFORE going through the exam, even if you give them your insurance beforehand. I was told one cost with insurance then after the exam and fitting was given much higher bill because of "my insurance". Even got another bill later. Now to order contacts it's another bill for a fitting. My old eye doctor never operated like this so I was unprepared, so prepare yourself to be forceful in getting the CORRECT costs before getting in too deep.

They took great care of me and are all super nice and professional. I have referred my daughter and her children to them.

I really love that I happened to move to East Falls and that EFEA accepts my insurance. This small business is full of kind and funny people who clearly enjoy working together. Frames can be kind of expensive and the organization of the wall is a little lackluster but the employees more than make up for it. There was a gentleman working who stayed with me after hours as I continued my hunt for the perfect frames and when I had trouble visualizing two that I liked in an alternative color, he offered to order them both so I could try them on. So so kind. As long as I live nearby, they will be my eye doctors.

Rate it a 4 because of hours. Friendly environment. I've been with this office over 8 years. Had a contract in my eye that I wasn't aware of so I put another one in 2 weeks later I was awaken to a bloody red irritated eye. Called the office for and Emergency visit on Tuesday he was out attending a funeral. So I went to urgent care and what a joke. The doctor there put yellow drops in my eye and shined that brought light in my sensitive eye and still didn't see the contract stuck in my eye went to My eye doctor the next day and as soon as Doc put the same yellow drop into my eye look at said he didn't see the contract. Long story short he remove the contract place some medication in my eye and prescribe my some eye drop med and 2 days later I'm feeling allot better. Thanks Doc

Such an amazing office. The optometrist is exceptional and all the staff is extraordinarily friendly and warm. They took their time with me and didn't make me feel rushed or silly. And the office takes Medicaid insurance which is hard to find. Overall probably the best medical type office I have ever been to and I'm chronically ill so I have experienced a lot. Wish I could find a primary care office of this caliber! Thank you to everyone at this office for such an amazing experience!

Not a family eye practice. I tried to make an appointment for myself, and my daughter for her first exam. I was told they aren't taking new patients so they would take me but not my kid. Lousy for a local business in a neighborhood full of families.

Fantastic eye care resource in East Falls! From the outside, this nondescript establishment on a kinda "icky" stretch of Ridge Ave looks more like a dive bar or methadone clinic than a modern healthcare facility. But step inside, and you'll find a warm, lively office with professional staff led by thoughtful, personable Dr. Jones. Big fan of going local, whenever possible. Very happy to know this fine level of care is available so close to home. Great vibe, here. Went in for yearly check-up recently, and appreciated how easy it was to get an appointment, and how thorough & unhurried Dr. Jones was, despite his bustling office. He's not just for eyeglasses, either. I love knowing that he's right around the corner in case of eye injury or infection, too. Been wearing glasses all my life, and sometimes going to the eye doctor has left me feeling fleeced -- what with the UV coatings & other "optional" lens treatments that add really add up. Did NOT feel that way at EFEA! The office worked all angles to make the most of my insurance plan's allotment, and I am delighted with the service I received.

Always a pleasurable experience when I have an appt. The staff is very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Dr. Jones is a true professional and makes you feel very comfortable. I've purchased glasses twice now as well as contacts and I wouldn't go elsewhere.
