Eye Institute of Penna College: Pellegrini Angela I OD

It takes long to get checked out here, being that they are students which is understandable. I spent 3.5 hours during a visit which is wild, they also have hidden cost, they'll tell you the cost of something. Then when you go to pay, it's actually more! The glasses shop, the representatives there are unprofessional.

Had a very thorough eye exam today, front desk very friendly along with staff. Very clean and lots of parking.

The students and registration staff at the eye institute are fine. They run a tight ship. But the eyeglass store (which is separate but in the same space) is terrible. First off, the Overly Ghetto black jawn with purple braids (with salt & pepper new growth showing) is wild unprofessional. So I walk in to see if they carry a particular brand of glasses and she's screaming "ARE YOU DILATED YET" I look around to see who's she yelling at & respond, nah not yet just looking. She then is very short with me about not carrying the brand of glasses I like - I'm just curious bc it was kinda random because I've bought very expensive frames from them since 2012. So she forwards me to her boss (really nice dude) and he goes a lil deeper into what happened. Cool. So I come back after getting "dilated" *overly ghetto voice* and she screams with attitude "can I help you" like I didn't tell her the last time. So I say - just looking to see if there's something else I like. When I realize that their designer selection is super limited, I ask "how long would it take for them to put my new prescription into my current frames" she says "2 weeks" and I say "wow that seems a lil long but ok cool". She says "WE HAVE 3 STORES!" Sooo we blankly stare at each other for a few seconds and I give her "so, WTF does that mean face" and she says all stores ship here so it's gonna take 2 weeks. Cool but she didn't have to be rude. Especially since, I've been coming there since 2012 and never waited more than 4-5 days. So they basically lost a loyal customer. I'm not spending my money and/or insurance dollars on them. At the end of the day, if your in a customer service role - your job is to service the customers in a polite manner. If they have questions or if things they know to be true have changed - it's your job to answer and do it without an attitude or being spicy, or overly ghetto. She must be new but just know she cost them a customer.

It's a great eye Institute my son and mom and myself go here... They stay true to the time of your appointment

Horrible front desk representatives! They talked to me like I owned them money... ODs are nice!
