Had a very pleasant experience. Even though it was full, what place isn't these days? The nurses and doctors were very nice and well equipped to take care of me. They handled the registration pretty good, I really liked that they send you a pre appointment registration to your phone and email which made everything simpler once I arrived. After that, we still had a very good experience with the waiting time, maybe around 20/25 min in each of the waiting areas. I understand people want to get in and out everywhere but how would they feel if doctors don't really take care of them and just get you in and out without really helping, let's give everyone time to get taken care of especially it being a lot of older folks around. I would not mind having to go again.
Mid Atlantic retina is an extraordinary medical organization. The circumstances which led me to the clinic were somewhat distressing. I was diagnosed, out of the blue, with multiple retina conditions and sent to Mid Atlantic at Will's Eye location for surgery. The immediate care I received from the team was supportive and assuring. I appreciated both the rapid scheduling of the operations and the time and patience offered by the surgical coordinator. Dr. Yanikawa, who accepted my case, came to meet me prior to the operation and explained, in his calm manner, what he was going to do and why. As he was speaking, I could feel the uncertainty and anxiety fade and make way for trust. Over the year and a half since the operations I have been treated, monthly by Dr. Yanikawa as well as dozens of other members of the team. With every visit my trust in the clinic has grown along with my gratitude for the high level of care and the positive spirit every person I have met in this organization embodies
This is the most professional, cordial and knowledgeable medical group I have ever experienced. They keep appointments on schedule. Everyone from the receptionist to the surgeons are friendly and pleasant. My pre op nurses, technicians and all personnel are friendly and knowledgeable in their duties which gives a patient all the confidence going into surgery. I drive out of state to be under their care. They have some of the best physicians in the world. I can't say enough about my physician
Dr Meera Sivalingham is wonderful. Extremely professional, knowledgeable and and friendly and gives you 100% confidence. After her visit in pre op I wasn't nervous at all. I highly recommend Dr Sivalingham and her staff. Well worth the drive.
The staff were all extremely helpful, knowledgeable and professional. The Doctor was absolutely brilliant. Dr. Dunn was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand and his dry sense of humor was amusing, especially during a very tense visit. The young gentleman who assisted me before seeing the doctor was more than knowledgeable in his field. I was impressed with his skills. Very delightful visit.
The experience I've had with this group was harrowing to put it lightly. I began care with this team in September of 2024 after a bout of HFAM caused an autoimmune response and inflammation behind my left retina. After a slew of tests (some quite painful) I was told the best course of action would be a steroid injection in my eye. Super painful and traumatizing. Fast forward a year, I've been on a cadence of seeing doctors every 2 months. There was never one time when I had the same doctor in any of my appointments. When my eyesight a year later began to decline again out of no where, they shared that an adverse effect of the injection is issue with your lens. Surgery can be done on lens but has potential to affect your retina. The push/pull is something that they claimed I would have to deal with the rest of my life. I'm only 37 years old and couldn't come to terms with this being the rest of my life so I wanted to get a second opinion before I went ahead with surgery (a solution that they could not guarantee would even solve the issue). I requested my medical records on 8/11/2025. It took a call to the office every single day, being put on hold for 15-25 minutes each time and getting screamed at (more on that later) to finally have them in my hands on 8/21/2025 after coming to their office directly to pick them up. (I am a reasonable person. Each time I would call Mid Atlantic Retina I would get confirmation that my records were sent. And each day I would get a call from my new doctor that they were not.) Denise from Medical records is absolutely incompetent and unfit to speak to patients. On two separate occasions she called me to SCREAM at me claiming that she knew how to do her job and that I was the one being difficult and hanging up on me the moment I spoke. I put in 5 different requests with the office manager/supervisor named Tom via voicemail, email, and leaving messages with Jamie the office coordinator. He never called me back, and shared that if I wanted to speak to him I would have to come to his office in person to do so. Finally upon getting my medical records, he was the one who passed off and didn't even look at me. Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful way to run a business and a EYE hospital and I wish nothing but karma to catch up with these people.
After a little nervous at first and when I had to get the latest surgery because it was unexpected that it needed to be done that day but the staff made me feel very comfortable
I was in and out with hardly any waiting. The staff was professional and very friendly. They checked my insurance and found out that I was 100% covered, which was a great help for me. Dr. Park is always pleasant and let's me know any changes in my tests, and he is as gentle as can be with the eye injections.
Such a great and comforting environment! Dr Michael kleufas and staff are awesome! Today!HONESTLY I WAS THINKING THAT IF I GET RICH, I WOULD DONATE TO DEDICATE A WHOLE FLOOR ON HIS NAME!
