My appointment was at 7:30 I forgot the meter starts at 8:00. I let my Doctor Know I was there by signing myself in on my phone so they knew I was on time for my appointment. My Eye Doctor was very nice and understanding about the meter, thank you Dr. Gupta! I went in at 8:00 I did not have to wait long I was out and less than an hour!! Beautiful clean waiting area, Very pleased with the service. I also ran into one of my old high school classmates had time to catch up on what we have been doing over the years. Very nice seeing her again. The staff very friendly and accommodating, very professional!! Thank You Scheie Eye Institute for a Great Experience one again. God Bless!! " To God Be the Glory!!" Amen. My waiting time is acceptable. Patient parking fee $10 is better than other places in the city. Eye doctors and assistants are working detailed and nicely.

It was a good experience all around. I did come early in the morning (7:30) as I was told it is on first come first serve basis and I got checked in as a first time patient, then waited until 8:05 to see the nurse which assigned me to a resident Dr. Then it was the pictures and back to the resident Dr., a retina specialist, and I was done and got an appointment scheduled. It took a good portion of 2:30 hours but they were good

We had an appointment today at 1245pm and waited over three hours past our scheduled time without a single update. I am currently still waiting as I write this at 4:02pm. This is not just inconvenient--it's unprofessional and shows a complete lack of respect for your patients' time. If your office is running this far behind, it's basic courtesy to notify people so they can choose to reschedule or adjust their plans instead of wasting half a day sitting in your waiting room. This experience was unacceptable. There was another patient waiting who missed her appointment to get a port put in her chest because she was sitting here waiting. When we started asking for updates at 3pm, which is more than a reasonable amount of patience, we were continually told "You're next" or "Five more minutes ". Dr Sandstrom just entered, and said this is a clinic issue and not his and that is why he wasn't going to apologize for the delay. I am truly disappointed in this practice, and specifically this doctor.

The doctors themselves may be skilled and professional, but the staff leave a lot to be desired. Responsiveness and communication is bad, you can wait an eternity to speak to them either by phone or even in the office.

I had annual eye exam. Blythe Best Raynor assisted me she went over medical as well as medication history she explained my concerns about eye change a very good visit

I absolutely love that Penn has an emergency clinic for eyes ..I did expect the wait times to be long so I prepared by bring snacks and a fully charged phone .there are others waiting and the doctors are aggressive at finding a solution and cause for your pain..my only complaint the restroom are always dirty smelly and littered with tissues I often see a woman with a utility cart but she NEVER enters the bathroom she just parks her cart outside of the restroom and chats with staff it's Soo disappointing I can barely see and most eye disease are from germs PENN PLEASE TELL STAFF TO CLEAN DEODORIZE THE REST RESTROOMS AND WAITING LOBBY

The system here is wild, the doctors move around based on how many patients they have so you have to check-in at the entry and the lines there can be long. Avoid their emergency clinic, I waited for hourssss to be seen - maybe 5 hours total? But their doctors are good and the staff is nice. It's just an awful set up that could definitely be improved.
