What a great experience at south philly optical. The entire team is very friendly, and the doctor I saw was so kind and helpful and really explained everything I needed to know in a way that was easy to understand. I found cute glasses that I love and I would recommend to all my philly friends to go here!

i love this place! they have an amazing selection of frames and are very helpful and patient (!) when you're shopping for new frames. i brought in a prescription from another optometry and they were able to apply it to the new frames with no issue. everyone here is so kind! i've been recommending them to everyone i know (that wears glasses). i'm lowkey looking forward to getting my next eye exam here!

Absolutely 10/10 experience at this small biz on the Avenue!!! The entire team was incredibly responsive, helpful, and professional as I purchased 2 new glasses with new prescription lenses, as well as a new supply of contact lenses (for different prescriptions per eye / contact lens). Kristin was incredibly patient and knowledgeable as we went through frames in the store in search of the style I was hunting! She knew the inventory like the back of her hand and helped me find not just one, but two pairs, of great fitting eyeglasses! Digna and Adrienne were a great help with prompt updates and alerts about the status of my order. And the eye doctor who performed the exam was great! Extremely kind and prompt to get me matched with new products for my aging eyes :) Thank you so much to the team, I will be recommending to South Philly locals, Passyunk neighbors, and Philly-based friends alike!

Incredible experience! I came in with frames that were broken. They took a peek and determined they were unsalvageable. Two employees jumped in right away to see if my lenses would fit into another frame they had on display. They found a perfect fit and sent me home with them (within 15 minutes of walking through the door initially). I've learned some good lessons- always have a backup pair of glasses when you live with a toddler! And that you can trust South Philly Optical in a time of need. Side note- South Philly Optical makes themselves accessible via texting which is an amazing service. Shout out to Digna who was able to provide helpful insight over text!

I can actually see properly for the first time in a while. The doctor is patient and delightful and helped me diagnose an issue with my eyes that had been overlooked many times. The staff is incredibly helpful and it was a genuinely fun experience picking out my glasses. I interacted with Digna the most, but everyone in the office is lovely! Cannot recommend enough!

The best eye doctor in Philly,l! hands down. My kids and I went in for a checkup, and from the moment you walk in, everyone is so sweet and welcoming. They take their time, explain everything clearly, and have so much patience especially with kids. The staff is knowledgeable about all the options and makes the whole process easy and stress-free. The owner is a really great guy who truly cares about his patients. Top tier service all around. Highly recommend!

I searched for a optical shop to do a repair. Jessica was personable, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. She treated my repair as if I has purchased the glasses there; which I will be definitely being doing within the next few weeks. They also have a great selection of glasses and an on-site doctor. thanks for a great experience! .

Great experience at Philly Optical. Digna and Kristin were incredibly helpful, patient and encouraging as we selected two frames for prescription glasses. Things were backed up before Xmas so delivery was a bit delayed, but they managed to get the glasses in and contacted me as soon as they were ready. I can't rate this business highly enough.
