Buyer beware
First let me start by saying this establishment came highly recommended. I heard good things about Jimmy and his staff. I did NOT however have a positive experience. I guess you have to be an old friend, a family member or a long time customer to be treated fairly and with respect. I've seen Dr Kellerher before in his old office. He is wonderful! I highly recommend seeing him. That being said, take your prescription and RUN to any other store to purchase your actual frames and lenses. First impression, the store is old, with worn chairs and display cases. It's just an overall dirty feel in serious need of an overhaul and deep cleaning. The women behind the desk are very nice but not completely competent in their jobs. Their record keeping leaves a lot to be desired. No computer receipts for these ladies they use storage containers. You're not getting the best or brightest here. Press me to explain and I will, but I figured I'd spare them the embarrassment. The optician really seems to know his stuff. He is great with fitting you for glasses and adjustments. He knows his stuff so well, he knows to not price anything which allows him to make up the prices as he goes. He never asked what kind of coatings I wanted on my lenses. He just did what he wanted. If you buy a designer pair of glasses make sure you get all the items that should come with it. Photo on the left is what you get with your Ray Bans at this store. Jimmy actually pulled some old worn Ray Ban glass case out of the trash and tried to tell me that's what came with my $579 pair of sunglasses. I guess he thought I was dumb enough to believe his lies. The generic case he gave me didn't even properly close because the glasses didn't fit in it. No Ray Ban lenses either. Jimmy said I would pay hundreds more for Ray Ban lenses. The lenses "he made" or had made were just awful. Turn your head and you see a rainbow of color out the sides of the lenses. Jimmy said that was normal. Guess what it's not! That's inferior quality. Run don't walk to any other reputable dealer and get what you pay for....photo on the right. Cost $493. I paid less at Ray Ban and got Ray Ban Rx lenses, a glass case, a cleaning cloth, and an authenticity card. You know what else I got, a receipt that showed everything I paid for. I can not stress enough to take your business elsewhere. Like I said Dr Kellerher is great. The optician Jim not so much. Good offices are hard to find. Keep looking for one cuz this isn't it. This place blows.
*Speaks volumes when you have to recruit an entire family or all the relatives or whatever they are to give 5 star reviews today 5/1/2025 to try and counter a truthful bad review. Do better.
**Photos don't lie. This 1 review is never going away.

Found this place after visiting several optometrists and have never looked back. The entire staff behind the counter are genuinely kind and will give you honest input on the large selection of frames they carry.
The optometrist is very knowledgeable of everything from the frames, your prescription, fitting, pricing, insurance coverage and will diligently help you to ensure you get the best results possible. My first time seeing them was in October of 2024 and by the time I walked out they found a way to get me both a new pair of glasses AND 2 years of contacts, all covered by insurance (which said they would only cover one). If you don't know what you want/like they will even tell you what does/doesn't fit your face and an added plus is if you need your lenses shaved down to fit a frame, they do all the work on-site, in the back.
They are very driven to make sure you like the final look and feel of your glasses.
I was so impressed with their professionalism and work that I came back this fall to buy a pair of prescription designer glasses, Gold Ray bans. Contrary to what I read from others, the owner, was very involved in my selection of frame, did ask me what coating/colors I wanted and gave me a full price breakdown of all features being added to the glasses, (Prescription, Coating, Transitions, UV and Blue Light protection and more). He even used a bunch of tools/devices in the store to show what the difference between them were and polished my glasses once they were ready.
My Ray Bans came with the signature Ray Ban soft case, cloth, the original lenses pamphlet, card to register and more (contrary to what some might say). Overall, my experience has been nothing but positive here and they entire staff gives off a "Family Here To Help" instead of a "Business Needing To Profit" vibe.
10/10 Would Recommend and Already Have to several friends.
This is a 5-Star Review that isn't going away.
I can't thank them enough for the amazing service with fixing my glasses. They didn't just repair them, they truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It's rare to come across people who care that much and put that level of effort into what they do. I'm so grateful for the extra time and attention they gave it really made a difference!
I've been a customer for decades and they've been consistently great at what they do. Dr. Young goes above and beyond with his exams. Mike is a huge help with choosing and fitting glasses. And the front desk is knowledgeable and friendly. The choices for frames seems endless with every option possible.
Parking is plentiful and convenient with handicap parking and accessibility.
I had an appointment the other day and this office was great!! I had to bring my 2 toddlers with me and Dr. Kelleher was great with them. The 2 ladies at the front desk were so awesome. They were extremely nice and welcoming and made me feel right at home. Definitely feels like your neighborhood place. Good customer service is extremely hard to find nowadays and it's hard to find offices that make you feel like this one made me feel! I will 100% be returning.
We were in Philadelphia recently and we stopped into Todays Eyewear to look at frames. What a great experience ! The staff were so professional and helpful. The selection was amazing and we were able
to find really nice frames. Can't wait to pick them up!! Definitely one of the nicest stores I've been to : )
I know Dr Kelleher from when he was in his other office. Since I have high regards for him I am now seeing him in this office. I met for the first time Mary,Sherry and Jim. The office staff made me feel as if I had known them for so long. They were so personable and professional. Jim Bowman was so helpful with frames. I highly recommend this office.
I can't say enough good things about Today's Eyewear! My new lenses are absolutely fantastic--crystal clear and perfectly suited to my needs. The price was incredibly reasonable, making the whole experience even better. Jimmy was a standout, with his extensive knowledge and genuinely helpful demeanor, guiding me through the process with ease. If you're looking for top-notch eyewear and exceptional service, Today's Eyewear is the place to go!
