Barry Cohen, OD

Years ago I had suffered from a severe concussion leaving my eyesight damaged. After years of blurry vision, headaches, confusion and overall mental fatigue form strenuous visual tasks, I had been recommended to visit Dr. Cohen by a friend. Dr Cohen did not dismiss my issues like other eye doctors and tell me all I needed was glasses, Dr Cohen was able to build a program for me to follow alongside him, and week by week I was able to see quantifiable improvements in both my eyesight and overall mental capacity due to less fatigue. Dr Cohen was not like many other doctors, and was able to logically explain to me the rehab process, and most importantly he was right. I accredit my recovery to 20/20 vision and stress free visual tasks to Dr Cohen and his expertise. I rarely write google reviews but I am greatly thankful.

My family has been a patient of this practice for 40+ years. First with Dr. Cohen's father and now with Dr. Cohen. He gives A very thorough and extensive exam. Add to that, he is a pleasure to talk to. Would recommend him to everyone

I CANNOT express how awesome and amazing Dr. Barry Cohen is. We came in from Northern Virginia and lost my contacts. He saw me right away. He made a miracle happen.

I had an appt. two weeks before my vacation so I can get contacts and not wear my glasses at the beach. I had the test done, a few days later I went in to get the contacts fit. Tried them on, and I swear they were the wrong prescription. It was like wearing magnifying glasses! He insisted on me keeping them on and going home wearing them. I did but I could barely drive home. It felt like I was going to crash every car around me! I wore them for 3-4 hours after that. Everything around me looked huge. I had a terrible headache so I removed them, put my glasses on and I had to sit waiting for my eyes to adjust to my glasses. I talked to Dr. Cohen the next day but he insisted on me wearing them for another day. I asked if they were bifocals, but he said they weren't. I explained that it's like wearing magnifying glasses but he insisted that my eyes need to adjust to them. Whatever. I never wore them again. I'm not going to ruin my eyesight wearing someone else's prescription. Because I really think that's what they were, the wrong prescription! He did have two pair of contacts on his desk when I went in to get the contact fitting and he was figuring out which ones were mine (WTF!) At the time of my contact fitting I had my prescription glasses for only one year and they had the perfect prescription. So I called once again and talked to the receptionist to please leave a note for Dr. Cohen about matching the prescription on my glasses. But he never called me back. This was two months ago. This is the son of Dr. Cohen (both named the same) he is a really cool guy, don't get me wrong, but he's an awful Optometrist! I ended up wearing my glasses to the beach!

Terrible place to get seen the eye dr is rude and ignorant and gone say im not talking to you when he asked my son a question and my son didnt give him a answer. The receptionist is clueless.i made an appointment in the beginning of dec assuming my son would have his glasses by Christmas its February and he still doesmt have his glasses I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Best tbi vision dr very patient and kind I love Dr Cohen for his perseverance and endurance. Very intelligent dr.
