I would strongly advise anyone considering Everett & Hurite Ophthalmic to think twice before scheduling an appointment here. My experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The technician, Isabella, was extremely dismissive & rude. I asked questions about my condition and received little to no explanation. Instead of educating me or showing basic empathy, she acted irritated and rushed through the appointment.
In a medical setting especially when dealing with something as important as your vision patients deserve clear communication, respect, and professionalism. The overall environment felt careless and poorly managed. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Everett & Hurite to anyone.

Called to make an appointment due to an ongoing issue. The nurse I spoke with was extremely rude and dismissive of my concern saying that it was related to contact use, try allergy eye drops and that I did not need to be seen for an exam at this time. I was able to be seen by another ophthalmology practice days later and they diagnosed/treated the issue (not contact or allergy related).

My experience with Dr. Kent was disappointing. He appeared unprofessional and spent very little time interacting with me or performing a thorough clinical examination. Most of his attention was focused on typing the patient visit report rather than addressing my questions. He seemed to have minimal prior knowledge of the tests conducted by the technician and only entered the data after I pointed them out. It felt like his main concern was processing insurance reimbursements rather than providing quality care. His bedside manner was poor, and he consistently kept his back turned to me while typing. There are many other local ophthalmologists who provide attentive and courteous care, so prospective patients may wish to consider alternative providers.
