At some point in my life I decided I wanted to wear glasses instead of contacts, and Heidi has not helped curb my obsession with eyewear because I absolutely love her store. In fact, I have probably gotten worse since I started shopping here because I just want to buy so many frames now. She has the best selection I have seen, and her staff is really knowledgeable and hands on with the eye shopping experience. If you don't know what you want, don't worry, they will help you out. You can start with a color, a style, a material, pretty much any preference you have, and they will find something that's right for you. They also have a great attention to detail and quality. I ordered a pair of unique lenses recently with a really thin frame that turned out to be a real challenge for my insurance's lens lab. Heidi and her team did not like how the lab polished the lenses. After sending my lenses back twice to the lab and not being satisfied, they did it themselves and they really did look great. It's hard to find a place that cares that much about a happy customer. Go here now! Also keep an eye out for their end of year sales. You can get some really great deals.

The complements I receive tell it all. I've been coming to see Heidi and before that, her father Curly Weitz for eye exams and glasses my entire life. My mother insisted we go there for the high fashion frames and the relaxed atmosphere. With state of the art machines and frames selected from all over the world, I am always thrilled with Heidi and her team. My biggest concern moving back to Pittsburgh was finding an eye doctor. Heidioptics was recommended by a friend who was wearing an awesome pair of glasses, I knew the moment I walked in the door I was in the right place. The selection of frames is exceptional, the staff is incredible, and Dr. Baker is the best Optometrist I've experienced in my 32 years of wearing glasses, very thorough. Let's not forget the namesake, Heidi knows her stuff and has curated a great collection of readers, sunglasses, and optical frames, a selection that would make Peggy Guggenheim swoon.

This is hands down the best place to go for an eye exam and new frames. The selection is great and I ended up with a pair of glasses that totally suits me. Heidi was awesome at helping me select the perfect pair. I get constant compliments on them!

I'll save you the time and trouble of shopping around trying to find the best selection and customer service (you can Venmo me for my efforts). Whether you need your damn hand held through the process or just want to figure it out yourself all the staff are great and the store is customer focused without pretense. Went to 5 stores in the city and wasted hours trying to find a frame and within minutes at H I had a half dozen to narrow down thanks to Heidi whose like the "Frame Whisperer". Well worth crossing a river and going into town if you are looking for a personalized approach, & frustrated from not successfully ending your frame search.

I only wear spectacles, I for some reason cannot stand contact lenses.. So I have over the years needed a lot of frames :) ! Heidi is a brilliant curator of frames from around the world, and her skillset includes pairing you up to a frame to call your own. everyone at the office is topnotch really, from Doctor to Staff that keep things on schedule. my .02 cents !

Ive been going to heidioptics for 6 years. The The best eye exam I ever had. The Optometrist actually had to lower my lens prescription after a thorough exam. They offer an array of fashion forward frames. I call it the candy store of frames. Need I say more, my eyes are well taken care of at Heidioptics.
