My Ophthalmologist, Dr. Joseph Scherer is an exemplary eye diagnostician and eye surgeon. In 70+ years, I have never had a more detailed, thorough eye exam. Dr. Scherer takes plenty of time to explain test results and provides plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
I had cataracts in both eyes that required surgery to remove them one week after the other. He discussed different types of lens replacements for me to consider and I chose monofocal lenses. My right eye lens is for distance and my left eye lens is for near vision. Both surgeries were done at St. Clair Hospital's Dunlap Center and were extremely successful! I could see very well within 24 hours of each surgery. I feel so fortunate to have Dr. Scherer as my Ophthalmologist and so grateful for his expertise.
