After working in the O.R. with Dr. Venkatesh for several years I was completely at ease sending my mother to him for a cataract extraction. Not only is he professional and knowledgeable but he also has a wonderful bedside manner which I think is important. Surgery is stressful on a patient but he is always attentive to their needs. And just as expected my mother's procedure went well! I highly recommend his ophthalmic services.

Dr Venkatesh replaced the lens in my left eye on Aug 27 2018 at the Erie VA the next day in a follow up appt the bandages where removed. The results was amazing, I never realized that my vision was that bad. He is an excellent Dr and I would highly recommend his services. He has an excellent bedside manner, and explains every thing to you.

I visited Dr. Venkatesh at his office in UPMC Passavant Hospital's building T. I had an appointment for 2:30 PM, and the receptionist called me at 1:30 PM to show up "right now." When I arrived early, I saw that three other patients were ahead of me. The physician called me back to his office at 2:40 PM. For about 40 minutes, he performed an eye exam and talked to me about my results and future care. He explained how my retinas are thin and how new blood vessels might grow, leak fluid, and distort my vision. He gave me two Amsler Grids so I can regularly test my vision at home, and he said that I may return for another appointment next year if I want. The receptionist said that I had no copayment, but other patients who had copayments had to pay with either cash or a check, because the office does not accept credit cards.

Dr. V is very compassionate, he explained everything I would be experiencing during my cataract surgery, it was a breeze. I highly recommend him.
