Visionworks Ross Park Mall

I'm not sure if anyone would consider a trip to the eye dr "fun" but i totally enjoyed my time! It was my 1st visit in over 10 years, and they made it so easy! The staff was incredibly personable, the woman with pink hair made my visit so fun! And she helped me pick out the best glasses for my face! i truly appreciated her very honest opinion about what looked best! The dr was great, he explained why I felt like I was going blind- after having perfect vision my whole life, 1 blurry moment makes you feel like you're losing eyesight! It made sense but is still interesting that you can still have perfect vision and an astigmatism that you need glasses to correct! Cannot imagine going to any other dr or location! The other gentleman was equally as great at explaining everything , helping me shop, picking out what looks good and going over pricing/options! Thank you all for a great experience!

The doctor at Visionworks Ross park is down to earth and a super cool guy. He took his time and great care answering all my questions. Also the store manager was top notch. He helped me figure out what my insurance would pay and what glasses would be covered. I have been going to this VW for the past few years. Overall a great experience and recommend to anyone needing glasses.

Dr. Smicker & the people at Visionworks Ross Park Mall are the best! Dr. Smicker really cares for his clients, their eyesight & takes the time to give you a thorough exam & answer any questions you have. Everyone on the front-end (too many to name personally) are kind, knowledgeable & take the time with you to answer any questions you have & to get you the glasses that you need & love. I tried the other "Vision" eyeglass place at the bottom of the hill a few months ago...a very bad experience, in every aspect. I can now see why "Visionworks" is on top of the mountain! They are far superior in customer service & eye care!

Doctor and staff were knowledgeable, efficient and created an overall welcoming and professional environment. The EU based technology service provider that manages their equipment failed to account for differences in timezones when scheduling their maintenance and has been taking key testing equipment and workstations offline during business hours. Any reputable MSP would take note of normal business operations and the difference in time zones of their remote engineers & technicians when taking client facing equipment offline, but they have not. I was not able to get my eyes scanned in a reasonable time during my appointment window because the computer running the ophthalmoscope was taken down for maintenance during my visit, and the staff at the store struggled to get it back online BEFORE notice was sent to the doctor about the machine being unavailable for the rest of the day. Downtime such as this is generally communicated days ahead of time, but that was not upheld in this business relationship. I would advise higher level management to hold their vendors accountable for impacts to production, I paid an additional fee for this scan and there was nothing the people at the store could have done to improve my experience, because they are not involved in technical planning or vendor management.

Longer-term customer who's seen the service here degrade to the point of no-return. Ordered two pairs of glasses with a duplicate spec of previous pairs - they didn't do that correctly and I received two pairs of glasses that didn't have anti-glare. Returned to location - was offered no apology, just a "it will be $XXX more" no utterance of sorry for providing a bad quote (might have shopped around with a correct, full-spec) and had to spend my own time returning twice to address the issue. Bottom of barrel customer service. They could care less about the customer.

I recently had an eye exam at Visionworks and was extremely pleased with the entire visit. The staff were welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable. The doctor took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel very comfortable. Overall, excellent service -- I highly recommend this location.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff! They took SUCH good care of me: working with me to find my insurance even though I didn't have my card and fitting me in for a same-day appointment when we realized my prescription was out of date. They were friendly, patient, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I'll never go to another vision store as long as I'm in Pittsburgh!

I made a appointment at Visionworks Ross Park Mall. The hours are and location convenient. The staff were attentive and greeted me as soon as I entered the store. The tech explained the process and was overall very professional. The doctor also was very informative as we went through the vision assessment. He clearly explained any problems or concerns. I was referred to an opthalmologist for further evaluation. No pressure to make any purchases.
