I had cataract surgery at WillsEye surgery center and my surgeon was Dr. Douglas Wisner. I cant say enough great things about the entire process starting with my initial examination through surgery and the final discharge. The staff was friendly and personable which made the experience so nice. I am thankful for my relatively good health as I have not had many surgeries, however, this added to my anxiety and because of the staff interaction it calmed my nerves. The day of surgery Dr. Wisner talked with me and explained, in laymen terms, what to expect during surgery and after with my new eyesight. He did not disappoint as I could not be more satisfied with the final results. Thank you Dr. Wisner and all the staff at WillsEye for a great and very successful experience.

I'm giving a 1-Star only because that's the lowest available. I did not get a chance to meet any doctors, because the girl receptionist I spoke to in order to schedule as a new patient had an ANGRY voice and was so RUDE and CONDESCENDING! When I said, "You're not in a very good mood, are you?" She hung up on me. I'm surprised this office has any patients. Front desk staff should be instructed on how to treat people kindly.

We decided to find another eye doctor service. Impossible to rate how, rude, indifferent and borderline cruel the office staff treated patients.
There were many elderly as well as patients with possibly severe issues and a little courtesy not to mention compassion would have been most welcome. However, I did not witness a single admin staff show any courtesy to any patient.
My visit was at Plymouth Meeting, 8 am February 19, checked out at 9am, if anyone at Wills is interested enough to follow up on this.

I can not say enough good things about Dr Douglas Wisner - I was very afraid of having my cataracts removed. So, although I live in KC, I decided to come to my hometown and use Wills Eye as I believed I would be in very good hands. Dr Wisner did not disappoint. He took his time, answered all my questions and was so kind. His staff were also compassionate with me. I am 2 days out of the final surgery and I couldn't be more pleased. I have already referred another friend who needs her cataracts

I highly recommend Dr. Douglas Wisner at Wills Eye for his superb skill and humble demeanor. My cataract surgery took just 20 minutes, and despite my dry eyes and prior surgery, the results with a standard lens are crystal clear. He even removed old scar tissue during the procedure! By the next day, I was cleared to return to pickleball and yoga. I am truly grateful to have found such a wonderful doctor. Thank you , Dr Wisner from the bottom of my heart!

I changed my rating since the lady who answered emergencies was wonderful!
I had seen Dr Davis on November 10 and my eyesight was 20/20 and 20/40. I had a growth under my eyelid on tear duct and developed one on same eye under upper lid as well. Since it was eyelid and not sight I went locally. They did eye exam and tests and my eye which was 20/20 less than two months ago was now 20/70. I had had cataract surgery in 2017 and went mono and this was my farsighted eye. Huge jump.
I called the emergency line today and at first turned down the appointment because I was hoping to be seen today and was concerned about waiting until January 19. I then called back later and was fitted in for the original appointment with Dr Wisner, who I had requested.

I called in twice today to make an oppointment. First person refuses to setup my appointment because she says I only have health insurance and no vision insurance !!! Seems like she has no idea !!!!
I call back, the second person decides to set up an appointment for me two months from today's date. She's so rude and un-professional. It's so sad that a place like this, with all good doctors who do excellent professional works, employs these kind of receptionsists. During my calls, I can hear people yaking and laughing in the back ground. I was able to get an appointment with antother specialist in Lansdale for next week, whose receptionist was super nice, courteous and helpful. Needless to say, I cancel the initial appointment with Wills Eyes.
