Front desk is borderline rude. Hands you a folder and says nothing. Had to ask am I to fill something out, review info is correct? The response no just hand it to the tech when you go back. Jessica was great. That's the only positive. Doctors can be a bit assertive with pressure and could care less about your time. Waited 50 min for the doctor to come in. Tiana at checkout was very kind and thorough. May look for another practice.
Terrible! Wait over an hour for Dr after waiting 25 minutes in lobby. Why bother having appointment. Second time this happened this month. I stand corrected, now waiting over 2 hours. This place deserves a zero rating!
I had THE worst experience here. The front desk people were extremely inattentive, rude & inexperienced. When I walked to the front, the lady just stood there with her head down, did not greet me or take me, the lady next to her end up calling me over once she seen the other lady had no intent on helping me. When I asked how her day was she told me, she was supposed to leave an hour ago & she was upset. She asked if my insurance changed , I told her yes, she asked to what , I told her and gave her my insurance information. She told me to fill out an updated form & they allowed me to go back and be seen for an eye exam with Dr.Wang, we discussed me wanting contacts, Dr.Wang told me what my cost would be for the contacts, I went to check out & paid $137 upfront for my contacts which they told me I had to do, scheduled the appt , came in for my appt to try lenses, they told me I owed over 200 something dollars, I was confused bc I paid last visit in advanced, they told me something was messed up with my insurance. They told me they " submitted " to the wrong insurance which was my dads insurance, I haven't been on his insurance since 25, I'm 28. They told me the were going to resubmit to the right insurance and told me to wait and they will try to hear back in a reasonable amount of time for me to been seen still in the same day. I waited, she came back out and told me that they actually don't accept my insurance at all. So all in all I should've never been seen or taking back. Now they left me with an out of pocket expense, and didn't refund me my $137, they actually took my $137 and put it towards my exam bill and told me I still owed them $44. The refuse to refund me or waive any sort of fee to accommodate me. Their billing department sucks, their supervisor sucks, Dr.Wang wouldn't budge to accommodate to help. They also billed my dad that amount as well. They are money hungry, & not compassionate towards their patients at all. Now I'm stuck to come out of my pocket more to go somewhere else, to then pay for an exam and contacts because of their mishaps.
Waited 30 minutes before being called back so that was a little long...but friendly check in, Jessica as a technician too. Then I was out in 60 minutes, so efficient all around. I thoroughly like Dr Malstrom and his friendly yet professional manner.
Thoroughly recommend this office, after my second experience.
Dr. Malstrom is fantastic. He is very talented and always had time to answer any questions. The whole staff at Eye Consultants and its surgery center treated me like I was royalty. One nurse was so comforting, they were all fabulous. At no time during my cataract surgery did I experience any pain or discomfort, not before, after or during the surgery. Its like a new life looking though 21 yr old eyes
Had surgery last year both eyes tried to get a hold of them for 3 days to find out if I needed follow up, all I got was voice mail or it hung up on me. The surgery was great but the front office not so much. I did get to talk to somebody finally, but when I asked about trying to get the script measurements. All I got was "Have a nice day" click. Front office has a lot to be desired and you can't get through to anybody.
I called multiple times into the office and finally got through to Hannah answering my call. I explained to her that I had a procedure done yesterday by one of their doctors and was very worried because my eyes were very red and hurt to look around. She was not only not empathetic with my situation but she was short and quite dismissive. I will make sure to never waste my time driving out there and will be sticking to the Wyomissing location. The demeanor of the desk staff overshadows how good the doctors actually are. Disappointed isn't a strong enough word. Now I will have to wait 5 days to potentially even get seen about this urgent matter. No consideration regarding my eyes safety.
Dr is great but if my apt is at 1030 i dont expect to still be waiting at 1151. If im late i get charged this isnt ok. I have work to do and this delayed my whole day.
