I was in yesterday 01/15/26 everyone was happy as well as chill unfortunately the actual Dr called out but they still did amazing, I had to get tested and they were quick about getting me in. I don't remember any names but, the older white lady who took me to do the parts of the eye exam she could do was great even though other employees needed help, she was quick to help, come back and tried to apologized multiple times. Also the other younger white lady ran to the ups store (it's near their store) to see if a customers glasses had come in because they were supposed to be in. Went out of her way to drive over and run in.
As well as the other lady was very cheerful and jokey, and did her job of checking me out very well and quick.
I really think they did amazing working together even when in a rush when they couldn't find what a customer needed. the lady that was with me knew more so they knew who to go to, and it didn't interrupt my appointment too much.
Every time we visit Visionworks, it's a great experience. Everyone is incredibly helpful, friendly, and it makes the whole process smooth and stress-free. Kat is the best! We really appreciate how comfortable and well taken care of she makes us feel every visit. She's a real asset to the team.
I been using this VisionWorks for my exams and glasses for many years now. I'm always well taken care of from the doctor to my visit picking up my glasses. My last appointment was on 12/31/2025. They had people just walking in all over the place. They treated everyone as an individual with grace and ease. Very good people!
Poor experience. Workers were nice in the beginning, then they turned rude like I was the issue for asking questions since I was a first time contact user.
Booked the appointment to be a contact lens exam. Got there and they told me that I had to actually do an eye exam first before they could do the contact lens exam even though I had an eye exam two months ago (at a private practice). That's fine, every practice has different protocols. Sitting down to do the exam, I'm told we can't do the contact learning today because they don't have the staff to do it... Ok. So then why was my appointment even booked? Told me they'd have to do it another day. Mind you, I have my two young children with me because not everyone can get child care so that means I'll have to bring them to an extra appointment with me. The tech told me that when I go home, watch videos on contact lens insertion and to practice touching my eye. I informed her I did watch videos and I have no issues touching my eye. After the exam they made it clear they didn't have my lenses in stock except for the left eye so I asked if we could just practice with the left one so I didn't have to come back for an extra appointment. They still didn't have time.
Okay... fast forward to ordering my trial pairs. I sit down with the check out lady, pay the $80 for the contact exam and while she's placing the order for the lenses I asked to see my eye glass prescription because I wanted to compare it to the script I got two months ago and I also wanted to see the contact lens script just because I was curious what it looked like. Worker reluctantly (and rudely) gave me my script and then stared at me (rudely) while I was reading it. Their eye prescription numbers were off compared to the previous script. So I asked why and how that would affect my contact lens prescription. Just asking normal questions because you know.... I'm not the "expert" here. Then she explained I can't have the script because it's not my finalized script, that they can make tweeks to it after my trial pair gets in and I have the 3rd follow up appointment. Idk, I'm just a person who likes to research and learn things when I'm given prescriptions. She stood up, snatched the contact lens script off the desk and went back and got her manager. How am I going to pay the $80 contact lens fee in order for you to gatekeep my prescription. Isn't that like, idk.... illegal?
Manager came out and after dealing with the rude and understaffed employees who couldn't fulfill the appointment I originally scheduled... I was over it and just asked for a refund.
Manager refunded me my $80. Explained things to me kindly and passive aggressively. But it's fine because she at least was kind and not rolling her eyes like the other staff.
I did ask if I could keep the contact lens script that she ripped up to take to another office since they now used my once a year covered eye exam...she told me no. I asked if they could cancel the exam I had and not send it to my insurance since I wasn't satisfied with my appointment in any capacity... she told me no because the doctor couldn't get her time back that she spent seeing me. I get it but also, it was a 10 minute appointment that gave me a different script than my script I got TWO MONTHS ago.
All around just not satisfied. I went to vision works because the contact exam was cheaper than my private office but honestly, don't waste your time. Pay the extra price for quality service.
I called vision works customer service and spoke to them about my experience. Luckily, I can go to another vision works location and just use the eye exam I got today so I won't need to pay out of pocket for a new exam but I guess the manager from the store today and the manager at the new location will have to connect with one another in order for that exam to be valid at the new location? So fingers crossed that miss passive aggressive will give permission.
A headache and a waste of time.
I walked in for my appointment a little early and was taken right back. This was the easiest and quickest visit to the eye doctor that I've ever had. Kat and Jason went above and beyond to help me. Everyone was so nice and very knowledgeable. Thanks so much. I'll definitely be back.
I do not recommend!! The phone system is all AI. Can't talk to a person. They don't get your prescription right and you'll be running in all the time. The front desk refuses to talk to the doctor so if you need ANYTHING from the doctor you have to schedule a follow up appointment. They don't know have consideration for customer's time and they don't get things right the first time. Frustrated experience.
On 1/9 I went in for a typical annual exam, the scheduled time was 3:00 PM.
After waiting on the staff to finally get around to doing the preliminary eye exam (3:21PM) and getting connected to the world's most disinterested examiner via the Telehealth system they have (3:42PM) I was then given a prescription that was half-done, missing both the Cyl and Axis numbers very much so needed for a person with Astigmatism. I was late to work given I wrongly assumed that it would not take over an hour to go through a routine eye exam.
At the manager's desk, I was given a half-baked prescription and sent on my way. I tried to contact the borderline useless customer service line and was kindly told by an equally disinterested rep that "There's no record you were seen, nor do we have a record of your prescriptions." As if I haven't been coming here for my exams for the past 4 years. Well, as of now I can confirm your records are correct, there's no way i'll be returning.
The customer service was impeccable today! Despite the staff being overworked, tired, and sick they were so accommodating. I was able to get an eye exam and new glasses 60% off and only had to pay $75 for the frames and prescription lenses.
