Visionworks Springfield Square North

The team at Visionworks in Springfield, PA was truly wonderful. I came in needing prescription sunglasses and also trying to use the remaining balance in my Health Savings Account before it expired. It happened to be an extremely busy day in the store, but even with everything going on, they were consistently kind, calm, and incredibly patient with me through the whole process. They answered my questions, walked me through the options, and made sure I didn't feel rushed or like I was "in the way" -- which means more than I can say. I actually thanked them while I was there because their patience genuinely stood out. It reminded me of a time I was in Greece, where the streets can feel like pure chaos with scooters and mopeds weaving everywhere -- yet the car and truck drivers were surprisingly patient and forgiving, which is probably what prevents so many accidents. That same steady, unbothered patience is exactly what I felt from the staff here, even in the middle of a hectic day. Thank you to everyone at Visionworks in Springfield for your professionalism, your last-minute help, and your expertise. I really appreciated it, and I'm sure I'm not the only customer who benefits from the way you treat people. Highly recommended.

Nate was super helpful and patient during an extremely busy night. The store was short a person and there were a lot of people waiting. He was calm and didn't rush to move on to the next person. I've also called and spoke with him on the phone and he was very helpful. Thankful for all of his help and look forward to seeing him at future appointments. My review is for this location in Springfield as well as the shave town location. For starters, the customer service lacks. Staff are asking you how they can help from a distance and usually while assisting another client. It's not individualized and the expectation is that I would shout my reason for visiting along with identifiers. Privacy violation. Additionally, the long wait times on the phone just to end up at a voice mail is absurd. Today I called back to back 3 times to order contacts, and met with the voicemail after being placed on hold each time. By the 3 rd time of interacting with the same employee to identified as the manager, to order contacts, for almost $700 with no other affordable options or willingness to assist by the manager, I decided to take my business somewhere else. Not to mention the hassle when trying to get contacts. The consultation, the ordering, the fitting.... I've worn contacts for many years. It's just not necessary that I continue to see the doctor after trials unless I find an issue with the fit especially when the environment is already unpleasant and lacks attention to customer service.

I went in for my annual eye exam and had a bad reaction to the bright light test. The staff was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire experience. I cannot compliment them enough for their attentiveness, patience, and kindness; especially since they were closing and still took the time to make sure I was okay while I waited for my husband. Although this location isn't the closest to my home, I continue to come here because of how exceptional the employees are. Their care truly makes the difference.

Extremely rude and unprofessional customer service. As soon as I said I do not wish to buy glasses today, the woman checking me out was immediately disrespectful and dismissive. I had questions about my bifocal prescription, I asked if my prescription could be separated into distance and reading because the doctor advised me to get reading glasses. I understood that I had all the information to figure it out myself however this was my first time receiving a bifocal prescription. I was extraordinarily polite in asking, however after some time speaking with the employees, one staff member slapped her hand on the desk and said "You know reading is a fundamental skill", then began to angrily pick up sign and point to it. I then cut her off and said " Yeah and do you know that kindness is also a fundamental skill, have a good day". Not only was this employee disrespectful but she also felt the need to insult me. Absolutely unacceptable. Sure Visionworks is a for-profit subsidiary but for me this is my healthcare.

I walked in today and two young girls were working. It was time for closing but DESTINY AND ARIHA were very helpful. I picked up my glasses while destiny helped me. While browsing they both patiently helped me without any rush. Thank you destiny and ariha, you guys were spectacular!

Made an appt with a doctor, got there and was told the doctor wasn't there and that appt would be telehealth visit. I prefer an in-person visit so I re-scheduled. This is what happens when large corporations squeeze out the small doctor offices. No one at Visionworks cares, its just a job that pays the bills so they don't care about inconveniencing anyone. Not happy? Go somewhere else, we don't care.

My customer experience at this store was awful. They have implemented a virtual consultation model, that saves them money but transfers to you long wait times and dreadful service at check-out. After 2 hours of long exam and waiting, I got a bad attitude from the employee that was supposed to sell me the glasses I needed. I was going to buy several pairs but the service was so bad that I decided not to buy anything and just wanted to get the prescription but had to leave with nothing, as "their system" had no results available. Its the first time in my life I ever leave an eye exam without knowing immediately what my new formula is! Now I have to go back and hope I don't get the same employee with a temper. Stay away from this place!
