Vision Care Coventry

A week before my appointment I received an automated reminder which I confirmed. The day before I received a call with a request to change my appointment from 5:20 to 10:40. I said I could change the time, but could not be dilated because it would affect my ability to work. The woman said that was fine but I insisted she confirm with the doctor. She put me on hold and then confirmed it wouldn't be a problem. At the appointment the doctor told me I had to be dilated and if I couldn't I would have to come back and pay another co-pay to do so. I paid my co-pay and left and then received a call that I was mischarged and actually owed $90 for a contact lens fitting. I asked what the doctor did that was different than an eye glass exam and I was told nothing, but because I wear contacts, that's their policy. I told her I had never paid one before and had her look at her records. I only paid $25 the year before. Another woman from the office called me to say my trial of contact lens were in but I would have to book another appointment and pay for another office fee to give feedback on them. I had to see the doctor and could not just call into the receptionist to say if they were a good fit or not. She then told me that I still owed a separate $60 (no longer $90 for some reason) for the contact lens fitting. When I asked why she said that it was an industry standard practice to charge over and above for the elective use of contact lens. TL;DR disorganized, constant money grab, poor customer service

My experience here ensures my business will not return/ continue. I had a scheduled eye appointment here and was unfortunately unable to see the optometrist due to my insurance portal being incorrect on my insurances end. TO BE CLEAR. I'm not leaving this review due to this reason. My review reflects the poor customer experience I received from the receptionist/ assistant. I felt the staff member was condescending and uncooperative towards my questions and requests during the process of determining my insurance coverage issue. The conversation was polite and didn't escalate in volume but I did get low laughter under thier breath with each question I asked. I even called my HR Director who gave me our companies group ID number to see if that could help locate my coverage. The remark I was given was, "I don't even know where I can use that in a search." Laughter and shrug followed. Understandably I don't know where to imput that either and can relate to where that doesn't solve our issue, but I for some reason felt I was losing her patience. I don't usually leave reviews and I never like impacting any small business in this manner, but if your inexperienced at using your works vision plan coverage or wanting to understand other options. (Something that was NOT offered, like simply what out of pocket cost is) Then I recommend another optometrist office. I do not fault the optometrist themselves, as I admitted I was unable to get past the reception area for something that my job has to resolve. This was solely from the uncomfortable and demeaning feeling I had during this process.

Great Place to get glasses! Heather was so nice and helpful with picking out the perfect pair for me. It was nice to go somewhere and not feel pressured. Highly recommend!

This place USED to be ok. Now it's just awful. The Doctor himself is good, I like him. Good luck ever getting a phone call back from this place about anything, though. I've been "waiting" aka calling weekly about glasses they promised me they would order in the spring, and STILL they have NEVER picked up the phone or returned a phone call to me. Not once. I even had the manager promise me herself that she would handle this and promised me a call back the following week. That was three months ago now. Still no call. Awful, awful, awful. Just go elsewhere to people who will be happy to take your money, seeing that this office CLEARLY does not want your money.

Total garbage of a place. The doctors are rude and want to push a product on you that they get a kickback on. Then the best part is I get a bill from 38 months ago for "company policy". I'm supposed to remember what happened over 3 years ago....your word against mine.....I pay everything in real time, can't stand these fools and definitely won't recommend them to anyone. A doctor there wanted to push Acuview contacts and when we asked for a different one he got visibly angry.....because he wouldn't get his kickback. Switched to a different doctor and couldn't be happier.

One of the best experiences I've had with an optometrist practice (I've been wearing glasses since the 6th grade). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The office is very clean. Everything went very smoothly, and everyone there was really efficient. This made for a very quick visit without any lack in service. I would recommend this practice to anyone!

The Coventry & EP offices have messed up my order since January. No phone calls are made to patients when changes in appointments happen either. I went to EP today & was told Coventry had my lenses, mind you that I was told I had tp go to EP to have the lenses etched in person. I lost time from work & gas along with my sanity today. Lincoln was a much better office when I lived there. I wanted to speak to a manager today. She was not there. I wanted her business card so I could email her directly however was told I couldn't have her email, just name. So, Aimee, I await your response. The tech took my info at Coventry today.

Some of the nicest most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Blew my old eye doctor out of the water. The receptionist are sweet and professional. The assistant was informative and obviously knew what she was doing. Dr. Prytula was also one of the nicest men I have ever met. I am happy to give these folks my business
