Positives: Scheduling was a breeze--I got an appointment with the optometrist right away, which was convenient. The office itself is clean and well-kept, creating a positive first impression. Negatives: Unfortunately, there were a few issues that detracted from the experience. In the midst of checking in, the front desk staff engaged in personal conversations, leaving me standing there waiting to complete check-in, which felt unprofessional. Billing was also problematic. I was overcharged, which required me to contact BCBS to verify the error and then make multiple calls to the (horrible and inept) Lifespan billing department to get it corrected. Patient Interaction: The medical assistant who took my information worked with her back to me the entire time--there was zero personal connection or rapport. Similarly, the provider rarely made eye contact, instead focusing solely on the computer screen and rushing through the appointment faster than a bullet train. As someone who worked in healthcare, I know it's possible to document while still engaging with the patient, so it was disappointing to see such little effort in building a therapeutic relationship. Overall, the efficiency was great, but the experience felt impersonal, and the billing issues were frustrating.

Dr. Chen is amazing! I've never had a doctor who follows up as promptly as she does. She takes her time and explains everything thoroughly. Very kind and caring. So glad we were referred to her.

Told to go here by the ER doctor for follow up. Can't book an appointment without a referral. Call the ER for a referral. Can't get a hold of anyone. Can't book an appointment after being told to book an appointment.

I don't like that you have to wait for someone to call you back for an appointment. And if you miss the call there is no call back number the number is blocked. So you have to call back and go through the whole process again. I like to get an appointment when I call. It is very inconvenient.

Find another eye doctor unless you want to wait hours to see the doctor. I walked out and will never go back.

Came here for a 2:50 appointment at 5:48 still not seen is Ridiculous!
