Dr. Burt is a great doctor. He listens to your concerns, asks good questions and answers any you may have. He explains options for treatments and how to implement them so you understand them. I completely feel comfortable with him in charge of my eye care.

This is THE best facility I have ever been to (besides their surgical center in Myrtle Beach). Every single person is polite, professional, helpful, and caring. Dr McGaughy (and his staff) are just great! I can be a nervous person when it comes to my eyes and I am blessed to be a patient here. There really isn't a wait and I am seen quickly once I go back. Appointments are flexible and care is top notch! I highly recommend Coastal Eye Group and Dr McGaughy

The people at this facility all know what they are doing. They listen to and fully address your concerns, ask the right questions and explain their advice and services beyond a shadow of a doubt. Other professional adjuncts who work with this group are highly trained and vetted professionals with stellar work records. My needed retinal scraping and cataract surgeries couldn't have yeilded better results anywhere else. That's all I've ever needed to know. If you live in this area, you have the opportunity to realise just how lucky you would be to utilize this recourse. I stand by every word.

Great experience at Coastal Eye Group! Everyone on the staff was so kind and helpful. Dr. Burt is very personable and takes the time to explain things, which I really appreciated. Techs and Dr. B were incredibly patient, kind, and thorough. It had been too long (3 years) since I last made the time to be examined. Had floaters and flashing light that needed attention to reassure me that there was nothing super serious. I highly recommend Dr. B and Coastal Eye Group in Little River for every eye care exam. I feel very blessed to have been seen so quickly and know that I'm in excellent hands going forward!!!

I was a new patient, very thorough. I was concerned that I may have early stages of Glaucoma after finding out some immediate family members do have it. Marlon Burt OD was very thorough and did several test on me. Thank goodness no signs of Glaucoma!!! Very efficiently run facility and friendly staff.

This was my first visit to Coastal Eye Group (CEG) from a referral by BJ's Optical cuz I was looking for a new Ophthalmologist to see for annual checkups. Thankfully CEG was local n nearby me in Little River which is very convenient. After completing all the required online patient forms via their "myPatientVisit" portal, it was a very easy to check-in with the staff at the front reception desk, who were very friendly n helpful. Before I met Dr Bert, I was assisted by one of the Opthalmic techs Patty who was also very nice and helpful performing all my preliminary eye tests, etc. When I met Dr Bert whom was also very friendly, after he examined my preliminary eye test results, he was very thorough explaining my results. I also appreciated how proactive he was in suggesting that he wanted to do some more follow-up tests to determine if there was any concern about other future possible conditions that may arise as I get older (like cataracts, glaucoma, etc. ) Thanks again to Dr. Bert and the rest of the CEG staff, and look forward to being a long term patient with them for my future vision care.
