I had an excellent experience at Donelson Eye Care on Friday, November 14th at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Harris. From start to finish, the entire team was professional, friendly, and attentive.
Eric, the technician, was thorough and made sure I was comfortable throughout the exam. Alisha, the secretary, greeted me warmly and handled scheduling and paperwork efficiently. Lauren was wonderful in helping me choose the perfect pair of glasses--she was patient, knowledgeable, and made the process enjoyable.
Dr. Harris took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel confident about my eye health. The whole visit was smooth, efficient, and pleasant.

I understand a business needing to mark-up items they are re-selling. However, contact lenses at this practice are double the cost vs a place like Costco. It's clear they maximize the amount they can bill the insurance company for said product, I get that too. But this reduces the quantity of lenses available to me through my insurance allowance. This causes me to pay more out of pocket. I'll take my business elsewhere to a provider who looks out for their patients.

I truly appreciate this clinic! It's the only eye care facility that fully meets my needs. The doctors are friendly and genuinely attentive to my eye care concerns. However, I did find that the receptionist who checked me in was not particularly welcoming. After my appointment, I noticed her discussing me with another receptionist and they both looked in my direction and started laughing. While I recognize this behavior was unprofessional, I won't let it overshadow my positive experience, as this clinic is one of the best.

If you haven't had an eye exam this year, or if you know you aren't seeing as well as you should but are not real happy with your current optometrist or ophthalmologist, I HIGHLY recommend Donelson Eye Care. We see Dr Harris there, and are very happy with him. He is very thorough and listens to and answers your questions. They also have another optometrist and two ophthalmologists on staff.
Plus the entire staff at DEC are wonderful!

I have been treated at Donelson Eyecare for years while Dr. Susan and her husband were the doctors. They were the best!! The care has changed over the years but was alright. They sold the practice and now it is being "run", apparently by a corporation. Like all medical practices today, it seems to be all about the money and technology!! Unfortunately the patient and their needs are lost. Everything changes but not always for the best!!
